ORIGINAL: squidster Otay, I don't remeber seeing this addressed in the previous 120+ pages (I may have missed it), what position do guys use for fuel tank monting? Did you install directly behind the servo tray, or the next compartment further aft? BTW, we hav a silver and Tbirds version that my son and I are working on simultaneously. The T-bird had decent hardware except the pushrods but did not have the anti- rotation rod in the kit nor were the holes drilled. So we added that on. The silver one had the rods all there, but was missing some other hardware, and some of the bolts were stripped already before I opened the pack. Some of the bolts are too long too. So off to Ace Hardware I go in a little while to try to find proper sizes. Not sure why there's a question on the fuel tank compartment, it goes all the way to the rear just as the manual shows. You will need to face it forward though (stopper toward the nose), not facing rear like the instructions show. I have not seen the T-Bird scheme as you call it, if this is a new design it's quite possible that they did away with the anti-rotation rod and replaced it with bolts. The anti-rotation rod restricts access to the fuel tank and really isn't necessary if bolts are used instead.
