Looks like a Rhom Air retract.

Looks like you have broken the piston shaft right where the thread starts at the nylon slider.

You can make a new shaft from 1/8 silver steel rod, all you have to do is cut a thread on the ends.
The trick is to drill out the slider a little so the thread does not start where it enters the slider but inside the slider a little. - John.

Thing is the nylon slider isn't in great shape either and I'd like to replace it while it's out.

.. and I can't find any info on Rohm-Air. Did they go away?

Not sure on their status, I thought they were still in business but the retract you have is very old (1980's?)

Someone locally may be able to help you out, the repair is very simple for anyone with access to a lathe.
You may be able to pick up some second hand spares in the US. Try a post in the scale or pattern flyers
threads, most jet flyers use bigger/more complicated/more expensive/newer retracts than these. - John.

Met a friend today and we flew our Cats.

First time I have tried to fly it on the abanded street where we meet but the trees and street lights were a non issue.

First fligt I spent 3 minuets buzzing around at full throttle and then a few minuets getting used to how slowly it can fly with the spoilerons out.

Both landings were with jet like nose high attitude and the roll out wasn't more than 60'.
This thing lands slower than my classic pattern plane.

I was nervous about flying on the street with the trees, curbs and lights but the plane tracks straight and true so I will enjoy making it a regular flyer there.

Was your classic NP Bobcat bounce on landing.

I had gone to idle about 3 feet above ground and when the mains hit the plane jumped up at a very nose high attitude like almost pointed vertical.
I gunned the throttle and then the plane rolled inverted (maybe from the torque or wing stall) and when that happened I went back to idle and she came down nose first from about 8' up.

Sorry no video

You should be able to find anything you need here plus there is a similar thread on RCGroups, but yes at 3945 posts you dont get a much better build thread!

Hi everyone. I am seeking some parts for my Bobcat

Does anyone have, in any condition
1. Canopy
2. Engine mounts
3. The manual

I would prefer the parts for the yellow version but really I don't care. I will of course pay the postage
