Status: offline 		I read in backyard flyer mag. that u should check the fit of the ball links and loosen them if to tight. I assume they are talking about the links to the servos on my cx they are pretty tight , has anyone done this?? If so what were the results?? does anyone lube these links??? level beginer

Status: offline 		They mean the pivot point that looks like a small plastic ball, and the part that joins on looks like a circle that snaps right onto the ball. And it definitely wouldnt hurt to oil them a bit. Just a drop or two of 3 in 1 oil. Or something containg silicone works well also.

Status: offline 		umm the only problem with oiling them is that you will eventually have dirt that will build up on the link and causes it to stick or bind causing the control to be affective. i would suggest getting a ball link resizing tool for about 12.00 they will be worth thier weight in gold if you decide to progress to larger helis like t-rex or nitro helis. here is a vid from finless on HELIFREAK.COM that shows how to use it and how to do it correctly. http://video.helifreak.com/tmp/fbd00f69548d5b40e08a7f4f5fd1af60/Ball_Links101.wmv?downloadmedia

Status: offline 		Yes but now they make oils that dont attract dirt. Such as Nexxtech from RadioShack which has bits of teflon. Or a silicon based oil.

Status: offline 		yes i know i have tri-flow with teflon and use it but it would still be better to spend 12.00 and get a link resizing tool.

Status: offline 		Just a matter of preference I guess. I can never seem to get the ball links perfect for some reason and would rather go for the quick fix than have to drive my stress level into the red even trying.
