i think the enigne has some possible good things about it ( i have a friend who has the revo 3.3) and i like how the engine runs ......BUT i also have a friend who has the 4tec and i dont care for the chassie setup at ALL! it is way too tight for my taste and i dont care for how the eletronics are setup on it ...... BUT thats just my opinion ....... plus i like dependibility of shaft drive hence my NTC3 with an O.S .12tz HEHEHE

they have changed the 4tec and the chassis alignment. Is the belt tougher to deal with than the shaft driven car?

Im thinking the 3.3 is just going to make it even more un controllable than the 2.5 4tec. I use my friends 2.5 4-tec and the thing mostly just likes to slide around.

I AM CONSIDERING BUYING THE 4-TEC 3.3 . WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE CHASSIS IS SET UP TO TIGHT?. IS EVERYTHING CRAMMED IN THE CHASSIS AND HARD TO GET TO AND WORK ON?.

Same old 4-Tec. It is a drag car, doesn't handle, very very tight to work on, and the engine has way too much power for that little stance it has. It is a good "show off" basher. Just don't take it to any IFMAR or ROAR races.

I own a 2.5 4-tec and I mostly drive it on my street where there can be some pebbles and things like that. One time I had a $200 handheld gps on it with no body and hit a pebble at 45 mph lol and It cart-wheeled for around 100 feet but I only broke the rear shock tower. I wish there where shocks out there that would give it more ground clearence so little pebbles wouldn't bother it. The car doesn't handle well so I think the 3.3 engine will be horrible for a 4-tec. I think they should make the car a 1/8th scale before they try hitting 70 mph. Here's a few pics I took of my 4-tec an hour ago:

I think it really needs to be just a bit wider. On some turns it will just roll over. A lower cog will definetly help. I think that stupid Ez-start crap thing raises the cg and weight a bit. The car is pretty damn heavy as well but the weight is just up too high.

My shumacher is very controllable with the .21 in it and all i did was put some foams on it. The 3.3 4tec proly wont sell as good as others on the market similar to it. The fusion will beat the crap out of the 4tec.

i agree i really think the enigne will be a major overkill on that car.... and yes i mean by tight is that everything on the car is hard to get to work on you have to dang near dissassble the car to fix anything on it ............ and the suspension is also very tight and doesnt have a "racey" fell too it ....... to me it feels my like a overpowerd "tyco" car lol ....... but ofcourse these are my opinions tooo lol

YES, I JUST CHECKED THAT OUT. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CALL OR E-MAIL THEM AND FIND OUT BEFORE YOU BUY ONE. IT PROBABLY USES THE 2.5 PARTS EXCEPT FOR BELTS AND PULLEYS. I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE BUT I'M GOING FIND OUT ABOUT THAT FIRST.

You people need to lear how to drive and learn what tyres to put on a car like this.
There is nothing wrong with the 4-tec 3.3 ot the power of the engine. I actually have a rb 23 on my 4-tec and you say that the 3.3 is too powerfull.
As for ROAR or IFMAR races, you could easily take out 1st with a 4-tec. Its impossible that you all of you that have posted here think the same thing. I think you just cant drive or need to practice more.
