I have the standard articulated arm that comes with the DFVTi and my videos have too many high frequency oscillations. I mean those that are unable to correct by software.

I've seen around here the foam trick. I must try it but, is there any other tricks to avoid those oscillations without buying the SAVS mount?

I only make home videos, nothing professional, but I'd like to have better quality.

Status: offline 		If you're talking about the foam in the ball joints, that's the only way I can think of with that kind of mount and it didn't work. I think the only way to get clean video without high frequency vibrations is by isolation at several points such as with the SAVS mount. It is isolated at the frame by the rubber mount, then again by that long arm, and finally inside the ball by the foam insert. Each stage reduces the high frequency which is still there but only briefly during aggressive moves with sudden throttle increases. It is also sometimes present just when yawing while in a hover because of opposing rotors having to increase and decrease speed to perform the move. Because of weight limitations for this helo, there aren't many options for mounting a camera AND getting clean video. Clement7 and Yves have managed to successfully mount still cameras underneath getting great images. Maybe you could try that approach and see if it works for video. As for video, I wouldn't go to the trouble trying to make something that has already been created and definitely works. There's just not many options for this airframe. I would recommend getting the SAVS mount and your issues will dissappear.

I cant remember which thread I saw it in but someone made a mold of the camera mount and cast it in silicone with a wire inside for support. The inventor said that it stopped the vibrations entirely. But i cant remember if it was at our site or the german site for xufo
It contained a photo of the finished product. ( In white silicone) as soon as I saw it I thought "He's on to something here" maybe this will jog someones memory!

Status: offline 		I'm going to try loosing bolts and adding 3 point rubber bands. I'm not sure about the results but I loose nothing while trying!

Status: offline 		I tried something similar with rubber bands, it helps, but doesn't completely get rid of the problem, as you are still "directly" connected to the frame in 1 axis (z).

Status: offline 		I would have gone for the SAVS system if I could afford it, they will have gone into a lot of time and effort getting it right. However, for now I am mounting everything on the baseplate in packing foam, it works but now I got problems with signal, need better antenna. And it's fun to experiment with different setups.
