Thanks, Jeff.

I think I'll try the white wash. Then in the Spring, I'll try removing it.... maybe it'll look authentic then.

Cheers...

Pic number one is your best one. Long shadows, the sunlight hitting the tank and the very scale-like foliage. Looks like a real KT that backed up next to a group of young saplings for concealment to get some kills.

Superb.

602RAF Puff:

That's some kind great detailing you did there. How do you get the white wash look? I was considering using real white wash, which I think is water soluble.

I'd like to get my KT to look like that.

Cheers...

I used a sponge and a mix of white, brown and red acrylic paint { red and brown were in small quantities }and dabbed the tank with alyer upon layer of the paint.

Thanks, Harq. I still need to learn more about taking proper photos. I'm thinking of visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Monument on the west slope of the Sangre De Cristos some time this winter to take some desert-looking shots there.

Puff - thanks. I'll try it. Small quantities at a time? Maybe I'll attempt a small patch at first until I get the right effect. Thanks again,

Cheers...

Ahhh...The Great Sand dunes! My old stomping grounds! I grew up in Alamosa, Colorado and went there often - and in the dry lakes area looking for arrowheads! The shifting, singing sands! When the wind blows the friction of the sand granuales creates a singing sound - weird, eerie, but neat! Also the place where UFO's were seen quite regularly in the late 50's through the 60's - and still going on. Home of Snippy the horse, lettuce and potatoes! Wait! What was this forum about? Oh, yeah, TANKS! And great looking ones at that!

Sould be pretty good for photos. I'll have to figure out how to get the monster onto the dunes though since you can't drive up to them anymore -- the Nat'l Monuments people took over and now you can't flatulate without having someone yell at you.

Cheers...

No. Not yet but, I did receive confirmation that it was shipped. I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I'll chime in and let you know when I get it and post pics of it. I'll also try to do a video. Can anyone host the video for me for download?

Proulxlaw,

How long have you been waiting for it?

Have you ordered from Mato before?

Hope it arrives soon!

Are the drivers periscopes adjustable, or do they all look like that? What's the length and height of the tank?

Thanks for the replies guys! Looks like a great Christmas gift for .... ME!
