Ya, that threaded rod deal is bs. Who needs rod threaded at one end...maybe plane guys can use it for something.

But then, you can't customize the length.. what's the point?!?! (since you can't cut it down.. and still retain the thread..) Dumb...

Ya, they should call that dumb rod...useless and deceiving.

I've been busy. Look at this chassis! I sanded the whole thing, thinner to clean it, 3 base coats, 7 main coats, and 2 clear, so it should stay put for a couple runs. The picture shows only one color for some reason. Depending on the angle, it transitions from red, green, purple and gold...matches the wheels. Before I ripped her apart I took some poser shots. But don't be fooled. I took the pics to show you where and what I've climbed. This was only in the first run too, imagine the possobilities.
Oh, I also did that design I showed yu made in ART. It's exactly how I thought, just need to use longer rod ends oin the shocks, these get all bent up when articulating which wastes like 5 degrees from binding. Still an improvement either way! Just noticed I took all pics as if the truck was coming down which is the easy part lol.

Because you ordered a rod for push-rods in an r/c plane. One side is threaded for the horn and the other is either threaded or shank depending on the pushrod used. The thread is only about 1/2" which is all that is required for it's purpose.

Those rods are also very soft and are meant to bend easily.

You'll find a use for them, just not on the TLT.

I knew that was for a plane! I've seen it used and talked about.

Argh.. not an airplane person that's why I made that mistake!! That's okay, I will go get some screws or threaded rods from local hardware store...

My camera really comes alive outside. Indoors it takes some crappy pics sometimes. Those all look pretty clear and well lit.

I know, just playin' with ya... looking good, though.. we totally need to have a CT get together! You need to check out Matt's semi.. (the other Matt!)

If I am gonna do some semi crawling, I am thinking about opening up the front and rear diff, and pack with some really thick grease for some semi-LSD... I still don't think I am gonna lock it, though... as it is still a general run around truck (that I run indoor.. my only car that I drive indoor..

Ya, yur rear end is pretty stiff now right? When you extend it, it tends to flip alot kuz there's so much more leverage.

When I extend the rear, it will be softer on the back... it will all depend on how you mount your shocks, though..

I am gonna keep the cantis... just for kick.. anyway, should have respond to this at the TLT thread, ha ha!
