Been seeing tons of interest in the tamiya DF line going all the way back to the original DF-01 up to the newest 03, dark impact. So, let's share mods, tricks, pics, vids get help and advice, or just talk about this great and popular line of rc's.
I'll kick it off with the many phases of my Rising Storm. Got it stock, then modded the suspension and dremeled to reduce weight, then I used the electronice in a different car, then I made it a crazy-low and fast onroad, and now I'm turing it into a 1/10 truggy. See the pic for the suspension conversion progress.
Running in that snow is gonna be insane this year since I've upgraded from a 27t to a 19t! After looking at those old pics I remember how much I need my storm running! HE HE

Uhhm, is that good? lol
I'm working on mine right now. I want to have the first true electric truggy. Alotta people call an st with different bodyor vica versa, but this is truly 4wd with wide suspension! I can't wait!

Magic motor mount? The motor mount works well for the 19t, but I just don't understand how to mount the motor in order to change the mesh. Seems the same all around to me.

I am sure that the manual would say something like that... it is not the first time Tamiya uses this design.. (off-center mounting holes to adjust the distance of the motor shaft to the spur shaft...) I guess in a way an eccentric adjuster..

I think I can eliminate the use of that huge front bumper on my buggy! I'm gonna use braces/pins and e clips instead of the old u-pin which required a bumper to stay put. This will save me weight and aerodynamics as well. Better for racing too so I don't dig in all the time.
