Hey Guys/Gals, the price on the OMP Hybrid has been lowered!!! If you ever thought about making the leap to larger planes (50cc) this is the plane to do it with. Some great videos up on the site as well. Check it out here.

Sale price is $299.95 plus shipping. Website changes did not take for some stupid reason. We'll get it fixed asap.

What are a couple of the best engine combinations for the 92" Hybrid? Is a G62 to heavy and or low power?
BME50, DA50, ZDZ, ????

All of those have been put on the Hybrid. The G62 makes a good combo plus I think it may cost a little less. We have DA50s here at OMP. I think the ZDZ60 would make a perfect combo as well.

I've got a MVVS 58 Prosport on my Hybrid. It weighs only 16.5 pounds. I can't imagine how anything else could make that plane perform any better. It's a great set-up. My favorite plane by far.

Until one minute before you need to order! HAHA....just kidding MrBigg. For the near future at least. John is in a good mood so the sales continue!

I see how you is! The Hybrid is a pretty quick build isn't it? Any thing to modify during the build at all?

The only thing I would pay attention to modifying would be the fuse inside layout. Plan ahead what kind of engine/exhaust system you want to use (i.e pitts muffler or canister) and then plan that layout ahead of time. A canister installation is easy on the Hybrid since there is so much room in the bottom of the fuse. But there are many engines and can varieties so there may be some differences in layout. I simply built a balsa tunnel on the inside using 1/16" balsa to form the top of the tunnel and rear. Then glued some 1/4 sq. basswood rails along the bottom lip front to back to screw on the canister cover which I made out of 1/16" ply. I cut several air cooling holes in this hatch cover and it looks really cool!
