Now now now...I wasn't trying to imply anything other than I thought the saying was cool.

Do you get better range on you radio with those extra antennas on your head???

Ken,
I should have had the antennas on when the rebuilt SkyRaider went up on it's maiden....maybe they would have helped!!!

Hi Bev.

Sounds like you are moving up in the world of RC. That's a big jump from a trainer to that Funtana!! But the way it sounds, you get lots of flying time and good instructors, and that's what's needed to fly that thing.. experience!!

I have not been flying in about two months. The weather has been terrible.. we had one nice day last week, but I had other plans that day and could not get out to the field. I may be able to head out this weekend, we will see.

I started the Sig Something Extra kit (Yep, a kit!!), finally! I started the wing, it's gonna be a slow build, though. I only have a couple hours in the evening to work on it. I figure it will be ready to fly in May or so, at this rate... ha.. will use my OS 50. Should fly great.

Gotta run.

Later.

Dick.

Dick,I plan on practicing with my Twist first. (remember, I'm a girl, ....we ask for directions when we get lost... ) That way, hopefully, I will be more able to handle the bigger arobatic Funtana, plus we will dial out a lot of the throws to give me training wheels so to speak! I know they all have expiration dates, but I'm hoping to keep it airborne for a while!

The weather here this week is a lot less than desired. Winds forcast 20-30mph and rain! I hope to get to fly at least once, but we will see! I hope you get a break in your weather soon!

Hey, don't forget the pink pinstripe on the SSE!!!!!!!!!!!

Bev

V.I.P.

Very Irish Princess COOL.....

Bill,
Thanks! ( and no, I didn't take it as anything BUT a compliment ) What you couldn't see due to "flash" photography were the flashing shamrock earrings and necklace I had on. (method to my madness.....in the dark, you could find me in the pits without calling my cellphone ) I even wore a green glow rag and carried a green bubba-keg instead of my standard issue pink! I do enjoy my heritage!!!!!!!

Bev

The key is to know you have the "Problem". I'll bet if you give it about 3 to 5 seconds of thought, you already know what the cure is. Just read my sig line, you'll understand

Bill,
Since I haven't purchased most of my planes... (contributions to the "Beverly's Flying Fund" ) I don't think I have a problem ("Denial"...the first step ) Plus in the past 10 days, I've acquired 3 planes: the Sturdy Bird, the Funtana, and one I'm not telling anyone about till I get it up and flying (a personal surprise to some friends ) I did purchase both of my SkyRaiders though!
So.......problem?, what problem? I don't got no stinkin problem?...or do I? ("Self doubt"... the second step? )
Bev

Bill,
And cheaper than Therapy, I'm sure!!!!
Upon rereading my previous post, if we get any decent weather, I think I'll try and get the Sturdy Bird airborne...what's the worst that can happen....more room in the "Hanger"
Rats, the wind is really whistling in the windows....TWC says currently 20mph with gusts of 24.

Dick,
Hi!!!! I'm still alive. Had a nasty case of the flu or something for a couple of weeks ....thank goodness for our "Resident Air Field Doctor" who put me on antibiotics.
Been having engine issues of late. David Storer has rebuilt part of my engine for me, and tomorrow I will be putting "Son of SkyRaider, The Amphibious" back in the air for the first time in almost 3 WEEKS!!! Prior to that it was dead sticking on takeoff....bummer!
Sorry I didn't even get to post a Happy Easter to everyone, but I was just too sick to get to the computer. Hope all you guys had a wonderful holiday. I got lots of calls, text messages and emails from the gang here worried about me.
How is the SSE coming along? Did you get the pink ultracoate for the stripes? And how about the "bug"? Is it still flying?

I just picked up my new 90 size Funtana on Saturday. I've got to get a receiver and battery for it, then it's ready to fly.....right after I practice with my Twist first!!!!

Hi everyone! It's good to be back! T-minus and counting.....18 hours till I'm at the field flying again!!!!!!!!!
Bev
