ORIGINAL: rcinstructor Hey Pa Ben I like the Radier amphib. I suppose the Fults double strut nose gear is in case the floats fail on ground impact the gear will be there to help. Also ALL the Raiders I know sport the same leading edge treatment. The Raider series are WONDERFUL flying planes but the covering is worth less then then a presidential candidates stump speach. Bev. will soon be getting some float time on a giant 10s 6A electric beaver. ("Electirc Beaver" would be a great band name) Of course I haven't yet told her of this because I'm afraid she will have a problem with the scale plane's name. No, it's a pain in the a** to remove, so when I take the floats off I don't have to mess with it. But it sounds like you know your Sky Raiders. As far as the leading edge color, I put that on when I was learning to fly. Helps to see if your level or not on landings. But, it sounds like your a know it all, so you knew that. rcinstructor and all.
