Here is the "4 color" change paint pictures - held under the sky light with & without flash (look at the hand in the picture and notice how it turns ghostly white )

I dont have the stock motor in mine I switched to a lathe motor, the stock was too fast for a semi so now it has a more realistic speed

Are you using the MFU? How many turns is the motor & what speeds are you getting now?

Yes Im using the MFU and its a 65T motor speed in 3rd seems to be about 14 compared to 20+ but I like the realistic crawl in 1st and it feels like it has more torque

$$$ is not the issue here.. DX6 has digital trims.. can't work with MFU... Or I'd get one!

The MFU will work with Radios with digital trims as long as they can transmit PPM Signals. The MFU expects PPM
signals for servo and will have problems if you transmit PCM as most computer radios are capable of. Most of the
Futaba line (6EXAS for example) are PCM or PPM selectable and will work great with Tamiya MFU. There is additional
issues with the DX6 as the AR6000 receiver has the fail safe programmed at continous for planes/helis. You'll need
the BR6000 receiver which has failsafe set at hold. DX6 also can't shut down MFU via the transmitter, you'll have to
get a kill switch rigged to one of the spare channels on Ch5 or 6.

Seems like the 6EXAS have been replaced by the Futaba 6EXAP-Super radio which only transmit PCM/FM signals. Would it work with the MFU if FM was selected?

I went with the 4EXA because it has analog trims & I have no use for a stick radio other than the semi.

I ended up getting more paint so there is 6 cans of Spaz Stix paint on the trailer (originally had 2 cans / 5 coats) and 3 cans of Spaz Stix on the truck body since the 2 to 3 coats per instructions was clearly not enough.

After the 2nd can on the body, the colors started to come out and when I was finished with the 3 can, it looked really nice & changed really easily - unfortunately when the Spaz Stix clear coat was applied it lost a lot of color changing ability and buried the Gold/Orange to where you have to be at the "right" angle to see it.

Here are the only pictures that actually turned out - the last batch I took I should add that the sun was playing hide & seek while I was taking them.

I only got 1 and the idea from yours

My plan was to have it be functional by placing the motorized leg switch & a charge plug for the batteries in there but for some reason I didn't get around to it. Maybe in the future I will get a 2nd one and modify it.

Paint looks good.

Never heard of using silicone - I will do in a couple of weeks when everything is completely dry.

Thanks for the tip
