1. what is the difference between a fixed picth heli and ccpm (Sp)?

With fixed pitch, the pitch or angle of attack of the rotor blades is static. It never changes. You adjust the amount of lift by speeding up or slowing down the motor turning the rotor blades.

With CCPM, the rotor spins at full speed (or thereabouts) at all times, and you control lift by increasing and decreasing pitch on the blades. CCPM is a method of doing this electronically, rather than with complex linkage systems in the head (the 'old' way).

CCPM is easier to fly than fixed pitch, but fixed pitch helis are more durable due to less complex parts/linkages, etc.

If you find it hard to fly a big nitro heli, then you will find it nearly impossible to fly a BCP or similar. Only you can guage your skill level, but if you consider yourself a total newbie to flying helis, I would suggest you get a CX or similar to learn the basics first. Your credit card will thank you

3. if i get the balde cp pro can i use the radio that comes with it for other elec helis??

Doubtful... You can't program the TX the way you can with an after-market radio.

4. anybody know if a memeber in the palmb beach gardens, FL area that pursues this hobby as i know noone who is interetsed in this?

Sorry, no...

thanks for the great and very through reply. i found it very help ful.

1 more question.....can i use a good futaba 7 ch radio with the blade cp pro?

i am really leaning toward the cp pro? any reason why i shouldnt purchse it?

re one of your answers..actually quite the oppisite i find that the larger heli are much eaier to fly, but dont have the $$ to really get into gas, plus i like electric much better. rather fly around my house than at designated flying field. than again the majoirty of my flight time comes from the sim.

I belive you can, you'll need seperate reciever, gyro, and esc's for the main and tail motors.

umm if you have some time on nitros, and feel comfortable... yes get it. but like you said you dont have that much time on nitros, but have alot on a sim. this one is up to you. justbe careful because its alot more touchy than the CP and way more touchy than the CX. so this one is up to you. judge where you think you stand and go with it.

I prefer a kit as i like to build what i fly and be able to upgrade it when i get broed with it. can anyone talk me out of a t-rex?? (meaning what do you guys think about the t-rex??)
