My trusty Hyper 8 port has died after 2 seasons of racing. Good little motor R.I.P.
Now I try to race at a pro level at my local track and I need a good motor. I have a Vspec in my Hyper 7 PBS which is a rocket but it hurt my back account, don't want to spend more than $200 on my other buggy (AU$, motors are expensive in this dam country). A mate I race with is selling a new Hobao (or OFNA for the American readers) MACH .21 with the turbo head for $200.

Any thoughts on this engine? Decent power? Decent life?

first how much fuel has been run threw the engine how compression does it have and what are the specs of the engine is it the same as the hyper 8 port race.

how much is a mach21? $150USD? how much is a vspec $220USD? i know i would pay the extra $70 for one of the best engines going around.

i have a v-spec and my friend has the mach 21. the mach is a very good engine it has a load of guts and tunes very easy but i dosent has the quality or all out power of the v-spec it is close.you can have a brand new mach 21. turbo for around $170 AUD to your door from rcmart.com in hong kong

if you like the Hyper 8 motor you can ship it back to Ofna and they will do a rebuild on it for $65 not including shipping from you country. You may want to call them. For the money the 3 port Nova motor is probably you best bet though. around $180 and as fast as anything out there.
