Guys, I just purchased an AW 75cc YAK. I intend to put a 3w 80xi on it with a 2 cell lipo (what capacity? 1500Mah?) for ignition.

I have a Futaba 14 MZ with the G3 reciever. I intend to use hitec servos all around. I am fairly confused about what exactly I need for the radio (batteries, redundant batteries, seperate servo batteries, matchmaker?, voltage regulators) can someone explain to be a good setup for this airplane?? I am new to giant scale, and would like a solid, but not overly pricy setup. Also, who makes those cool looking blue anodized voltage regulators that I see in the AW manuals?

Thanks for the help.

For a nice simple and light radio set up we use: 1 reciever 1 battery for the reciever/servos and NO redundant batteries, seperate servo batteries, or matchmakers. We do use Fromeco li-on batteries the regulators are made by them and work very well. We used 1 4800 Mah for the reciever/servos and one 2400 Mah for ignition. We also used Hitec servos all the way around 5945's on the elevator and ailerons and a single 5955 on the rudder. This setup works very well and is fairly light weight for what you get.

Hope this helps.
