international made the engine and it just so happens to be what is in the fords. Its also the same engine in almost every school bus.

You can drive a diesel millions of miles, they just need rebuilds as needed.

For one, powertroaks are dogs compared to comins and derimax. Derimax makes the most power for the cheepest $$$ so it would be my favorite, but the comins makes almos the same amount , jsut it costs more. For two, ets get bakc on topic, does any one have any more pics of this beast? From what i can see, just the grill, it already looks sick! Man i really think chevy has turned it self COMPLEATLY around in the last 2 years. Now cadalac, gto, corvette, silverado, gmc, impala, and now they have the new cobalt SS, they have all be reborn, and are probly al best in class! The only gm vehicles i hate are the hummers, saab, and coorado.

Gimme a Cummins HO Ram over a Silverado. OOH hydroformed frame rails...does a lot of good when they're NOT BOXED!! the only truck in its class without boxed framrails...brilliant idea.

Give me a Cat in a Ford

Yeah your right, chevy designs things better than dodge and ford, and notice how they also have indipendent suspension ? Ride in a ford or a dodge down a rugh road then ride in a chevy, HUGE diference, the chevy is so much smoother it is unreal.

same goes for their transmissions. With the allison, you cant feel it shift if you stomp on it and hold it to the board.

Im not 100% shure about the not fealing it shift, but i do know that when my uncle rolled his derimax, we took the trany out and put it in a toyota tuff truck with a chevy 502. The guy hit a concreat post in the pasenger dore at 145 going down a dravle road, compleatly totaled the truck, it eaven cracked the block on hte engine! The only things that servived were teh alison tranny, the driver, 4 oz racing wheels, and 3 procomp tires. Odviosly, smalerthings were reusadle but it was a huge desaster.

if you want ride quality, you don't want a truck. Screw IFS in an HD pickup

vehicles aren't made to survive a crash like that... if you look close on the front of the truck, you can see the point where its designed to fold up.

no not a normall toyota truck, the chassis was hand biult from the ground up, everything coustum on it. IT would do a 13 second quarter mile in offroad trim with 35x12.5 procomp x-turraine tires.

it loked alot like this one http://www.jimcorace.com/cars/trophytruck.html , but that oen is alot better than it. Mark the gy driving it had to have his back fused, and his helmethit the side of his seat so hard it cracked the helmet and bent a stainless steal 1/8th" seat pan! I feal bad for mark, he had probubly $80,000 in it, all gone cause a tire blew out causeing him to slide into the side of a overpass colum.

lol wrong! Every vehicle has a weak spot in the engine compartment. They are designed to have it and required for driver and passenger safety.

No it was not a head on , he drifted sideways, into it, the pole hit the side of the truck were the pasengers in the rear right side of the truck woulld be. And htey biult the fold spots in front of the engine and infront of the rear axle beetween the cab and box. The engines in thease trucks are as far back as posible, most of the engine is in the cab with of corse a fire wall, it is as close you as you can get to a mid engined truck as you cna get with out putting the engine behind the driver. Check out that link, it explanes alot of it.
