I have to say guys that the camaro and the dodge are both poorly designed cars from so many points of perspective that either are really not great cars over all. Perhaps for the low end consumer with a red neck heritage, it might be a good classic buy. Oh, is that another stereo type there...ooops! (wow, is'nt that just hypocrisy[?])

The Camaro isn't even out, and the new Charger is one of the nicer cars on the market.

You've obviously never driven either. Yeah, let's compare a $160,000 2 seater to a pair of $30-35k cars built for driving daily. you're so smart!

Insults will get you now where my non-designer friend. Please allaborate your wealth of knowledge on the subject as to why you believe that what you stated and why you think that insulting Bohdi is going to get you anywhere on an even ground of debate.

Also, why are there so many w@nkers here whom think that because they like a car, its the best without even knowing didly squate about it.

And I really have to say that your knowledge and idea of debating is about as indepth as your point of arguement quote "You've obviously never driven either. Yeah, let's compare a $160,000 2 seater to a pair of $30-35k cars built for driving daily. you're so smart!"...yeah, that probably the most intellegent grasp of the aesthetic form and function of a car if I have ever seen or heard one, wow...thanks for that.

Again and again you fondle and caress the idea of verbal diareah in such way that really makes a good point. Thunder birds are go...junk!

And whether its out or not really does'nt matter, if anything, thats better...there are less metal BS driving around masquerading as a modern muscle car.

And as an ID designer, I am VERY familiar with Dodge and their designs and am very much of a fan of alot of their work...but I am not much of a fan of the model that was under the scope at all. Sorry if you dont like my oppinion.

What is your design analysis of the new camaro though...?

One of my best freinds on Tokyo is actually a test driver and does write ups for several mags both local and international, from his opinnion alone - one to which I heartly agree with; states that its a car that batter if its driven at 70mph into the nearest wall and then hung up as modern pop art.

i am a chevy fan for life and i am just glad that they are bringing it back. when chevy said that they are going to stop making it, i was mad it was always my favorite car from chevy. the price tag is a little high tho. it is a great looking car and i am looking foward to seeing it in person.

its was sad that chevy ended the heritage a for a few years, but the newer camaros were ugly and slow. I look forward to this and i was talking ot a guy at a dealership a couple weeks ago and he said something about the elcamino being brought back... Now all we need is the Chevelle

ohh and sim, nice job, i had to use the dictinary 5 times when reading your posts Anyways, i agree with some parts of you post, but the thing about crashing camaros into a wall is just gut wrenching! I wouldn't eaven do that to a dodge charger.... well maybe but i would rather sell it for a large down payment on a 09 chevelle

Yeah... dont get me wrong though, I am a massive fan of the older models and they are simply classics, thats why it peeves me off when they try to make a new moddel and update it in bad way adn its just brings shame to the name and just design some POS. I love the old chargers and I had one along time ago...LOVED it very much. Just wish I had it now. Although in saying that, I do love it when the re-design an original or classic product thats adds to the original concept in a way where you can see aspects of the original yet its obviously a modern design.

When it comes to the aesthetics and function in a design - as well as the whole packages weight and use of modern materials to accomplish better urganomics and form to give better functionality; then I am happy, but I am also very picky and I would deconstruct it from every angle and state why and give my honest oppinion back up with the info.

I love the old classics also but Im good with the new concept cars too. They will never replace the oldies. Expecially when Mopar takes the old classic name like Charger and turns it into a 4 door LOL what a joke or slap in the face of the old Mopar guys. just my 2 cents

Wow thats sweet ! Im by nature a Chevy man but I have owned all makes. And that is a great and deserving remake of a mopar. I thing bringing back a old body styly with a todays twist and technology is great ! But they cant and wont ever replace the oldies! Id rather see the vintage cars be restored to stock than see them refit with todays after market items .

That would be interesting, but I would think most of the older muscle cars would win since they were made with more brute power. I like the 1960-1972 of most muscle cars. After that, they lost the styling and they were compacts in the 80's.

They need a good remake of the Chevelle. DANG that would be sweet.

I wonder if police departments will be getting the '09 Camaro as a cop car. Could you imagine seeing that thing in your miror on the freeway.

today's modern cars will eat the older cars alive. The HP to weight ratio is what comes into play. They might have more horsepower back then, but they were tanks.
