I guess I will find out if my brake disc hit anything as I race the A arms are level and my whole truck sits LOW.

Speed ain't cheap, is it. I'll get the pics up after this beer and some sleep.

Not as much in to speed as I am in to handling. Right now all I am running is the stock K4.6 that came with it. I all so race a HPI MT it is the slowest truck on the track but it handles so good that I won the last two races with it. I all so run with the brushless trucks.

That's the best way to approach it. Throwing gobs of money at a problem usually results in disappointment. Most of the more successful 1/8 th buggies and truggies ditch the CF for aluminum, since it holds together much better.

The 4.6 is a great mill for regular MT's. Mine is past the nine gallon stage and is still pulling wheelies.

Wow! 9 gallons??!! I've lost count on how many gallons my k4.6's have burned through, but I do know I quit counting after 6 gallons. The K4.6 is one durable engine; but I'm sure they are due for a rebuild soon.

I now mount an STS D28M on my daily basher and I hope it will get past the 6 gallon mark before it starts to demand a rebuild.

Pics as promised. As stated before, the ride height is dialed up from the bashing I was doing at the end of last week. When dropped back down, this setup is extremely stable.

You should try some offset wheels if you want stability.

I've been looking at that. Just don't have the cash to buy more tires and wheels for the Sav (as if four sets isn't enough).

Don't forget that you cannot use the rotostart with most engines with this LCG TVP. You will have to get a pullstart. Not so cool.

I rotostart my Mach 427 powered LCG Savage X.

I bet I'm the only person that can say that too

That might not be true for very long. I just modded my 427 and if it runs good enough it might get dropped in the Savage. I would then throw the spec 2 in the LST2 for right now. I want to start doing some racing again with the Savage and the Mach should be a little easier to control. I want a spec 3 when the Mach dies, I just can't decide which truck I want to put it in.

Elite,

about that engine chassis plate. May I recommend the one from new era. It is a thicker plate and you can get heat sink plate mounts that will avoid the drive shaft. Here's the link.

The HPI kit comes with a heat sink mount that avoids the drive stock shaft as well but neither the New ERA or the HPI will clear the universal shafts.

Sorry, not that I know of other than shimming the oppropriate places or redrilling the engine plate chassis. Why does your spur hit your clutch bell? Do you have a non-stock engine that is a little longer?
