It's been nearly 2 weeks, but Net access is hard to get..

During the Molalla Oregon IMAC contest, on a downline negative snap - my canopy left the plane (102" ) - a scary moment of course, not knowing for a moment what had 'left the plane' - this was the unknown, and I was able to find the canopy, and tape in on for the final round of known. Minor stuff, should not be a big deal, except ... this was stop one on a 'Final Tour' - the next stop was 4 days and 2100 miles away in Chicago. So.. Monday, as we drove through Idaho I called - Holly was very helpful, and she had Quique call me back - we talked about the problem, the solution, and they promised to have a new canopy at my Sister's house in Chicago on Wednesday (!) when I planned to arrive - and the blind nuts I needed were added too.

It worked! Arrived and the canopy was there, finished the blind nut change (I use 4-40s), and the new canopy fit (blue tint now??) - flew in the Chicago cup, and everything was great.

FWIW - I'm now in Harrison for the Cincinnati IMAC contest - #3 in a row - and still having fun!!

Thanks to the Quique Aircraft Company for their outstanding customer support.. And of course the plane !! I seem to be the only person out here in Advanced not flying a 40%er... and my problems are simply my skill (the limits of I mean ), the plane is not a limitation!

Cheers,
Bob
