More 3.2 numbers
Same equipment and gas.
I removed the 5/8" exhaust pipes and soldered 1" pipes to the Bisson muffler.
200 RPM boost!
I use Amsoil Series 2000 2-cycle racing oil mixed as directed at 50-1.
This time at an OAT of 32 degrees F giving me a density altitude of 1500 ASL.
Beautiful February day!
Measured with a TNC tach.

Menz 22x10 "S" 6800 RPM

24 lbs thrust as measured with my spring scale known to be accurate in rough water weighing freshly caught fish!

This is in my Sig Sukhoi that weighs 16.25 lbs.
Nice performance!

Status: offline 		My 3.2 is well broken in and has a J&A Engineering Peacekeeper muffler, and I run Amsoil 100:1 at 100:1...

Here are my readings:

Mejzlik 21X10 7500
Mejzlik 22X10 7260
Bambula 22X8 ? I just put in on today and have not had a chance to run it...

Status: offline 		I finally started flying with the Bambula 22X8. RPM is 6780 as measured with my spiffy new 9ZAP! My trusty Cermark tach had a dead battery...

It's well used. It's serial number is 0002 which means it was made in 2000... I've only owned it since last September, but it has done nothing but impress me since then...

Photo of 1" pipes on my 3.2.
I changed the angle to suit the Sukhoi.
A little more noise...doesn't matter where we fly.
200 rpm boost in power.

Status: offline 		I talked to Gary at Brison before I bought my first 3.2.He said the 3.2 needed to run around 7500 rpm to obtain maximum performance. He tunes them at the factory; my first one's tag said 7550 rpm on MSC 20/10, and my second one said 7660 on a MSC 20/10. Can I assume that this is where we need to be running this engine? Can you share your personal experiences on this?

Status: offline 		I had a Menz 21x10 Std on the Sukhoi for a while before switching to a Menz 22x10 Std.
The 22x10 seemed to pull harder on take-off, climb, and verticals.
The 22x10 is a lot quieter too...less rpm!
I would like to see a torque curve for this engine.
I suspect that the max power(torque) is in the mid 6000's rpm.
Anyway the Menz 22x10 Std works well for me on this airplane and someday I'll try a muffled can or a tuned can.
So little time, so little money and so many things to do!

Status: offline 		New 10 year old Brison 3.2 with the 2-ring piston.
1.5 gallons of gas through it.
With J-tec Slimline Pitts muffler and Mobil MX2T at 32:1
Mejzlik 22x10 @ 7200-7300 rpm.

"The idle mixture or low needle setting are between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 out on the 3.2. The high speed mixture is set between 5/8 and 1 on all single cylinder engines. Use a tachometer to adjust the high speed mixture for maximum RPM and then open the needle about 1/16 turn for initial flights.


I just ordered a header and carbon fiber pipe to check out what kind of boast the 3.2 will see. I only have one Brison 3.2 left now the last one that i put on the WH Extra flew so well my buddy wanted this one and i wanted to see it stay around. Anyway it was sold to my buddy who loved it and then later someone else had to have it from who, who in turn crashed the WH.
