Dan, I see in one of the PICs a inline fuel filter on the bird. If you dont mind may I share an experience I had.......I lost a cylinder on a twin due to a inline fuel filter, one of the nice fancy ones VERY similar to what you have. It was leaking air even thought it was threaded together nice and tight and the O-rings were in great shape. I have since changed to a different method of filtering my fuel, I put a fuel filter in my field fuel container so that is filters going into the bird. I personally after having to spend over $300 to have the cylinder rebuilt will NOT install a filter in my bird, atleast not between the tank and the engine.
LOOKS great!

I had one almost burn up because the screen in the carb got clogged with debri, I was running a filter on the gas can. I will be sure to check the tightness of the inline filter when I tear it down each flight and inspect for Air. I also have a vent line filter. I live on and our field is on a gravel road. I get a lot of dust on my planes even though the trailor is sealed, so I have to filter well!

Dan, I completely agree that fuel system needs to be clean and filtered. It took awhile to find my air leak, I tore into the poor carb more than once looking for a leak. As well as replaced the fuel system, only when I had the hatch off running the engine trying to get the needles set right did I see the bubbles after the inline filter and not before it. I never thought about it being the source as I had it squared away, or so I thought!
Looks like a fun bird!!!

Which part of the Tail? I trashed the 8-32 all thread and drilled out the Dubro washers and traingle nuts to accept 10-32.
