Status: offline 		I bought a used Blade CP and I am having a really strange problem. The Pitch and Elevator controls are reversed. I was going through the manual and I stepped through the Control Test. When doing this I found that moving the right control stick up and down was changing the pitch (the swashplate moves up and down). When moving the left stick up and down it was moving the elevator pitch control (the swashplate tilts forward and backwards). Now, the throttle control is linked to the left stick and should be tied to the pitch control. It is not, when I increase the throttle, the nose of the heli tilts down. The control acts like the pitch and elevator controls are reversed. The strange thing is the throttle is normal and is tied to the elevator, not the pitch controls. As you can imagine it is difficult to control this way. The servos are connected to the proper channels. The servos move correctly, it is just that the Pitch and Elevator controls are on the wrong stick.

The rudder control works properly.
The throttle works properly.
The aileron control works properly.
The servo reversing is set properly.

The only way I have found that I can take off is I need to throttle up with the Idle up switch in the normal setting. I throttle up to 50% so the left stick is in the middle. At this point if I move the right stick up and down the heli tries to lift up or push down. To lift off I have to switch the Idle Up to Stunt mode which increases the throttle. I can then lift off by pushing forward on the right stick. But as you can image it is pretty much impossible to control.

It seems like an issue with the transmitter or the 4 in 1 control unit. I actually have 2 of the 4 in 1 control units and they both behave the same. It is not a servo reversing issue. I don't think there is anything I can change on the transmitter.

Has anyone ever heard of this kind of problem?

Status: offline 		Haven't heard of this. It sounds like you have a Mode 1 transmitter or set-up. Mode 2 is what you want. Try calling Horizon on Monday and see what they can do.

Status: offline 		Okay, thanks. I'll do that.

I noticed that when I move the right stick up and down all three servos move about 30 degrees. When I move the left stick up and down the rear servos and the foward servo move in reverse directions and deflect a smaller amount perhaps 5 to 10 degrees. Will the pitch control cause a greater deflection in the servos than the Elevator Pitch control?

Status: offline 		Okay, I think I know what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it. I believe that the front servo is reversed. It is going up when it should be going down.

Status: offline 		There are servo reversing switches on the front of the TX, in the lower-right. Just flip the switch for the channel that is reversed. The manual talks about these switches, and describes their positions, etc.

Status: offline 		I believe that SoCal said that he had confirmed that the servo reversing switches were correct per the manual. It sounds like one of the servos is reversed--after the mixing stage. Have any of the servos been replaced? Take your CP to a local heli shop and compare the servo connections to a demo CP--maybe one of your connectors is reversed?

Status: offline 		Okay, got it fixed. The servos were plugged into the wrong channels. I thought I had traced the channels properly but did not. So I connected one channel at a time. Now it is working properly. Thanks for the help everyone.
