ive been doing research on these and im going to but one to see what happens. i will be fitting it to an rs4-3, it will get a larger pulley (more boost), and i will be using there little connector kit to pressurize my tank. if it dont work it dont work. i think they look pretty neat. ill post when i get it.

hi all, im kinda new to the post/thread thing but i have a few ideas and opinions about forced induction on models... they do work and quite well however due to the size, ajustments and tuning is harder than say a 1:1 car or motor cycle. 1 cyclnder is always going to be harder to tune than say 12 for example. the trick is using minimal input power to extract maxium output.

in short it is possible to "charge" ur nitro engine. its just the time of fitting, tuning, ajusting. refitting, ajusting and tuning. over and over and over. untill you achieve minimal input for maxium gain. scavanging is a good thing for 2 strokes it gives a clean burn.

though to much scavanging is inefficient and wastes fuel.

i dont see how you all dont understand that 2 strokes, by design, are their own superchargers, sure using some stupid little contraption to get a tiny bit more air in there will work a very small bit, but better port timings and fuel will make all of the difference

apolo right you are. i dont retract my previous statement, im just saying there are many variables in an engine whilst trying to achieve a "perfect" tune some of them change all of the time. some require a dremel, hone or old drill bit for ajustments and exeperiments.

i dont see why everyone gets so crazy about if they work or not, especially 7 pages of it, there was a great article around here on why superchargers dont work, anyways, its more of an "im right, you're not" deal, basically, 4 strokes are completely different beasts than 2 strokes are, the only category they are in that is similar is the engine category, other than that, 2 strokes were developed to make the most power per cubic inch and revolution, they acheive this by a self-pressuring cycle, which is exactly why a supercharger or a turbocharger is worthless and only adds complications to it, while some tests have "proved" that superchargers add a minimal amount of power, its a few percent, which isnt worth it considering the critical weight/power ratio drop, and on top of producing a large amount of power per pound, we add nitromethane to our fuel, which is an oxidizer and in turn adds more oxygen to the combustion chamber (oh wait, isnt that the point of a supercharger, turbocharger, or nitrous?) therefor giving more power, so basically, 2 strokes are already supercharged by nature, and adding nitro only ups the power, basically, if you want more power you should

A. use more nitro

or

B. modify the timings in your engine

or

C. get a new engine

whew im done, go ahead, start the flame war or leave it there, cuz i basically just summed up 7 pages of arguing and laid it all out right there

again apollo i couldnt agree more, they do look cool though. i think they are more so for looks than any serios power gains. id make 1 but cause the RB designs look sketchy. considering eveything dose flex and bend.

so yeah. a bigger motor with a pipe tuned to ur driving style or application. would be the way to go.

i use a force .15 with a short style of pipe to let the be-arch squeel.

also apollo, whats ur opinion on diff locking?

this isnt the thread to ask about diff locking but as a quick answer, it depends on the application, if you have AIM, my name is Lethal1ty17 IM me as you please
