Do you guys have any special techniques on cutting out rc touring car bodies? I can cut out the wheel wells, but can't get the straight lines to look right. They always come out jaggedy, and when I sand them, it becomes wavy. Do you recommend any special tools? Thanks, Josh

Most bodies I have done had a line on them, but you can mask the line and cut on tape or set the body flat on bench before cutting, set a sharpie pen flat on the bench and mark the body line.just trace all around body and trim with curved scissors.
Good luck

I use a circle cutter for my wheel wells. (home depot) it's made by exacto. You just poke a hole in the center a move it like you would a compass with a pencil. Looks good. good luck finding one they're hard to find. Cost about 10 or 14 bucks.

I use a dremel too finish with a sanding drum leave at (least1/4" . I rough cut lexan with the scisors (sometimes crack plastic and cause body to start cracking).

Yeah my friend uses a dremel tool for his bodies. They look flawless. I don't have a dremel so I opted to use a circle cutter. Someday I'll own a dremel though. You can use them for everything.

All these tips are great but he wants to cut straight lines, The easiest way is to get hold of a tray table, after you cut out the wheel wells hang the body over the edge of the small table then between the two wheel wells line up a ruler and just score the body with an exacto knife. then just bend over the junk piece and tear off whala a perfect line between the wheels

hey there guys, i had that problem before, but if you got the time and patience, just go real slow and use a pair of fine sharp scissors and go at it under a good lighted room, and sanding is a good way to finish it off.
