I am building the EXT version of the Troublemaker. It is a short kit so plan on a couple of runs to the hobby shop unless your shop is well stocked. The wood is good and the plans are excellent. The instructions are not for the beginner -- basic -- but that was the way several kit builders did it in the 70's. Mine is going along nicely but I'm working 65 hours a week and don't get a lot of building time. If you have any serious questions give Don a call and he will be happy to answer any and all questions.

I hear you loud and clear on the nostalgia GM1. That's why the Gator Flea is gonna fly... Wish I had an actual kit for the compensator, anyone who flew with Rhett Miller in high school would deserve such a kit, heck, I'd give it to you probably just to know it's going to someone who can appreciate it for what it was: cutting edge for its time. I know these old designs can't really hold a candle to the technology of today, or even 10 years ago, but they're still fun to fly, and with the engines of today they perform a heck of a lot better than they did with the older ones.

Ron,

Tony had a table at the swap meet at the fair grounds a couple of years ago.

BTW, when is the swap meet held?

I am tracing the scan that was posted. I have scaled it acording to the size of the aircraft. I am currently using the VSD format, but I can save it as a DXF if you want it that way.

The issue with the Intrepid on the cover is the March 1978 but there is no construction artical or plans in that issue. The listing I have from Wayne Cartwright does not show it either. Does anyone else have any idea when or if the Intrepid construction artical was done??

I have the Compensator plans done, but I can't seem to post them here. If you want them shoot me a PM and tell me what format you want ( VSD or DXF)

The Troublemaker II was called the Double Trouble, if memory serves me right.

I'm looking at a picture on page 50 of the November '75 RCM. It's Tony holding his Triple Trouble. Yet another iteration. I couldn't tell you which version I used to see him fly at his home field in Orangeburg, NY. I know it wasn't the original Troublemaker.
