Kato was flying a model called `Thunderbird' at the 1962 World champs. Perhaps this is a later development. I remember reading that the design eventually became Blue Angel.

Wow. 1962...
The plans do say MKII version, so maybe mid 60s? If so the wood in this kit is older than I am.
I can't wait to build this plane. Maybe scratch the kit from a fresh set of Kinko copied plans to save the lagacy.
Anyone intersted in a copy let me know. I'll also vac form a canopy.

Does anyone out there know or have for sale a Gator Flea kit?? I would love the opportunity to fly it again!! I know that this is an old thread but someone with one might see it!
