I got this car from a friend many years ago and it has just been sitting in a box in my garage, until today. I pulled it out and I want to get it running again, but I need to get parts. In order for me to get the right parts I need to know its name. On a couple of its parts it says Yokomo, but I couldn't find it on the yokomo website, probably because its to old. The car is 4 wheel drive with an RC-10 type of body. Pictures are posted here:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drew

It might be a Yokomo YZ-10! I haven't seen one in about 10 years, so I cant be for sure.

This car looks like a Schumacher CAT 2000 to me. You can get in touch with them at WWW.RACING-CARS.COM.

I think the car is a Yokomo YZ10, just like Green River RC. Yokomo's web address is http://www.yokomousa.com/. You might want to check out their site, they do have a customer service area.

It is a YZ10. I still drive mine ever now and then. It came out during the hay day of the gold tub RC-10, it was suppose to be the next step up. I havent been able to get parts for some time now, especially the diecast parts.

It's for sure an (old) Associated YZ-10. It is the same car that Yokomo sold as the C-4 before AE reboxed it for N America (with white wheels and an RC10-ish body). It's the replacement for the original "dog Fighter". If you look hard (like my basement full of 'em ) you should be able to find all the parts you need. That car formed the basis for Yokomo's future TC's and lived on untill the "new" YZ-1o came out in '95 ish.

luckly, the car is not in that bad of shape. Although I dont know about the electric stuff, because I need a battery and charger, The only thing I know is broken is the front left steering block. I ordered a new set from yokomo for about 8 bucks. I think they belong to one of the later models, but looking at them I think they will work:

If they dont I will return them and try to find orignal parts. Worst comes to worst Im out 8 bucks.

If the parts you ordered don't fit, head down to your LHS and look at the HPI, Kyosho or any other metric sized bearing steering knuckle. One of then should fit just fine.

BuddhaTech-

I have an old YZ-10 as well and would love to get some new parts for it. Where would you recommend I look? I really need some new belts, a body, and a belt tensioner.

Thanks!

Eric
