Yea, Theres a radioshack near my house and i go there to get the occasional parts for my projects (a blinking LED for me helicopter, the entire electronics setup for my air cannon) and for the most part the guys there knew nothing about what I wanted, they couldn't even help me find a 3v battery holder...Other than that, yea, the pico Z looks interesting. All i have to say though is that I'd personally rather have my CX (which i could probably fly in the car) and more control with a little bigger and more stable. It's 6 times more expensive, but with my experiance with 2ch helis, its 6 times the fun!

Wingman,

The pico z is just for fun. It really is kinda cool. Gets you away from other headaches. Like, what parts do I need now, why do I have this tremendous head vibration, why can't I lift off, is my 4-in-1 fried, what the heck is pitch? Just kidding, but the ''Z" is really fun.
Always have fun.

It's a great hobby and always keeps ya thinking, as long as you have a big wallet.

Psi,
LOL, I've actually have done this, grabbed the wrong tx, plugged in the heli (no mishaps) and spent 5 minutes or more trying to figure out why it won't spin up. DUH.......

Another thing with all these helis, it's a maintance nightmare sometimes. You know, at one time I had six helis, sold three. After that, at one time, all three were grounded waiting on parts.
Hmm, which one do I fix first. LOL. It's fun and I enjoy the maintenance aspect too. It's kinda relaxing, ya know. Got my super-skids on the CP, love them to death. Gonna get the super-skids v3 for the Pro.

Got the hovering and small circuits down pretty good, still having trouble with hovering nose in for more that 20 seconds. My brain goes fuzzy.

jm obrien,

It does look good, the v3 super-skids give the heli a nice clean, sturdy look. Haven't ordered my yet. Just waiting for my new big box to be shipped. Should have it Monday or Tuesday.

Sorry guys. I just ran across this thread and enjoyed reading through all the post from the beginning. I was so engrossed with everybodys posts, I didn't look at the date. I'm sure the problem is already solved by now, so excuse the excited post below.

I have a AMD 2500 with CPU clock running at 1800, an nVidia MX440, 1GB ram, and the sim I use works great. I can set the video for high performance and the screen gets a little bit of noise but it is very acceptable. I can set the video for high quality and the screen gets a little jumpy just once in a while. The sim I use is FS One. If it were me, I would certainly try the sim with your MX4000 card first. It just might be acceptable.
It is always better to have more ram though. If you expand your ram, make sure that your MOB can take advantage of dual channel ram. It makes things fly a whole lot faster.

Crash,

I've got a Dell Computer, about 3 years old.. 2.0 gig clock, 512 meg ram, nvida mx4000 video card. Think that would be enough, or do I have to buy a new computer too?

Thanks,

Dave / Choppersrule

I have a Falcon 3D. Brand new . It's a great heli and i love it. It has a crazy amount of power . I love how it's extremely stable in a haver and it's almost the size of a t-rex 450!

I hear ya there. I quit smoking a little over a year ago so I still use the old "Heck Id only be spending it on smokes if I was still smoking, right honey?"

Ive pretty much got what I want for planes, and Im happy with the CP. Its an awesome machine for learning on, parts are cheap as dirt (thank heavens), you can fly it ANYWHERE, and you can fix anything on it yourself. But theres always that need to bling it out lol Ill stick with the CP till Christmas then Ill give my wife and family a list of Xmas gifts to buy. Brushless motor, ESC, CP Pro, and so on. Hey when is Xmas to be exact?? Thats like next week right??? Maybe Ill get myself an early present.

Oh damn my wallets itching again

I did the same thing abought the smoking 1 dirt bike, 2 harleys, 1 rock crawler jeep, 1 camper, 1 motor home, several rc toys. I do belive it would have been less expensive to smoke
