I have a few friends that are cops and I would not want their jobs.
But there is always seems to be one in a 1000 that has an additude.
I was riding my dirt bike on private property and cop saw me and drove out in the field where I was and told me I was trespassing and I had to leave or he would run me in and impound my bike. I told him that I had permission to ride from the owner he called me a liar and said I had 10 seconds to leave, so I rode straight up to the house 100 yards away and parked the cop followed me to the house and said I was in deep s@#$ now so he knocked on the front door and I said no one is inside and he said that's it, and I said what it's then call me a smart a&& and said I going to be arrested I said fine let me get my wallet I unlocked the front door to MY HOUSE ON MY LAND went and got my wallet and when I came out the door he was getting in car and leaving
If he had been running trespasser off my land I would have been thanking him instead I called his superior and the officer called and apoligized to me.
I beleive in protect and serve and for the most part this is the case they are human and make mistakes he did'nt have all the facts. but he sure could have handle the whole thing better and this is the same in your case.

Well I think they make their job as hard as it is sometimes. "Gun on the hip syndrome" gives people "super powers". Why are most officers so quick to argue? Whether or not they are in the right? Why not listen to the whole story before diciding to arrest you? I have many friends who were arrested for BS reasons. Mostly for arguiong with them. This is america baby! Words are not bullets. I think they need to deal with eack case on a case to case basis instead of carrying the last scene's issues to yours. Just my opinion. I also have always been the yes sir no sir guy and haven't really had too many issues to speak of. I think thats because the yes sir and no sir inflates their heads so much they can't think straight.

this sounds like the typical cop with a napoleon complex. i also believe he was trying to show off in front of the rookie babe. never inflate these bullying punks egos by saying" yes sir ,no sir". sir is a term for someone who deserves your respect, not someone who is trying to instill fear in you. and i think the percentage of jerkhole police officers is closer to 30-40%. however when your in doubt of being in the right or not find out for sure for the next time. also i would have lodged a complaint against him for his bad attitude. he was a bully and if you show fear and let him get away with it ,he will continue doing it to others. he needs to learn that he is a servant of the people not a dictator.
