Thats pretty cool... It's funny how the parachute works perfectly unless there is something expensive on it !

Very Cool Whogdriver

Pretty neat seeing it open and go out of sight behind the airplane. You were pretty high, where did it land ? There are so many buildings and lakes around there , you aim had better be pretty darn good !

Check this one out, nothing dropped or released but you can get a better idea of the tracking capabilities of the camera pod. The tilt needs to be smoothed out (I use the throttle stick to tilt the camera). My transmitter stick is "ratcheted". A nice smooth travelling stick would be better.

Take the ratchet out, turn the ratchet spring over to keep the tension on the lever.
Works on my 9CAP for helicopters.

That is really neat. How did you enough servo travel to make the camera turn 360 degrees ? I would like to see the build thread on that one also !

What size of batteries are you using to power the plane ? Do you power your plane and video with the same battery ?

Hey Jett, they make 360 degree robot servos with 12hz of dead band (translated means no servo creep which is inherent to a modified 360 degree servo)
http://www.lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx?productID=429&CategoryID=38

For $13, its a steal! I have three, they work marvelous!

Thats the ticket, using that servo solves a LOT of problems Only 12 bucks , I would have paid a lot more for a specialty servo

Me too! When someone mentioned it on either this forum or another one, they were sold out for a week, everyone jumped on them. They should be in stock
now though.
