I recently purchased a used cg extreme. When I got it home I noticed that the wing wasnt squared with the tail but was good measured off the front of the plane. It is probably off by 3/4 of an inch measured from wing tip to rudder. Do you think that this will hurt the way this plane will fly? Should I try and cut the glue joint and realign it?
Thanks
Jeff

It might not fly like its suspose to but if you cut it out and reglue it in then it could add weight. Or.....it could be lighter depending on how you do it. If it were me, I'd fly the snot out of it!........John

Do you know if the wing was epoxied in? If so, you can heat up the epoxy with a heat gun. Once soft, you can re-align the wing without adding weight (or very little once you touch it up with epoxy).
As far a flight characteristics - I've seen some stranger misalignments fly pretty good. You can try it first, though if you have never flown one of these, it will be hard to tell if the wing alignment is effecting it.
If is was mine, I'd fix the wing alignment. It would bug me to the extent that I wouldn't enjoy it - but that's just me.
