that would be awsome but the down fall to all that power the electric motor or motors use kills the run times

Yeah, that is the drawback of electric motors. I wounder if LiPo batts will help? They have more capacity. Also, I wounder if mounting 2 batt backs together in parallel will provide more capacity as well?

Next question

How close are the diffs to Savage diffs? I could see HPI's 17mm hub conversion in my future with the buggy-style hubs:P

...TBJ the diffs themselves are MUCH bigger in the GP...

...The bearings are slightly different too so if you use a GP 14mm hub on the EP the ridges on the hub will rub on the shield of the outsied bearing...REVO alloy hubs are the perfect solution to this problem...We HAVE had some guys using the EP with 23mm hubs etc with no real problems...

...The GP 17mm hub conversion, as attractive as it is, might be a little difficult (its not cheap either)...None of us have had both the EP AND the GP conversion in the same room yet so this hasnt been tried yet but there are guys fiddling with this and that trying to make stuff work...We didnt know the Hellfire wing was possible until i tried it...

...SO...A GP 14mm WILL work, therefore the 17mm HUBS work too but you stil have the ridge rubbing on the bearing shield...Not a BIG problem but also not the PEFERCT setup

...Next Question

internals of the Savage diffs I'm guessing are beefier? ring gear/pinion gear are different i'm assuming?

...slightly beefier but overall physically BIGGER..the EP is 2 bevels whereas the GP is 4? 2 IS sufficient though...The diffs are pretty bomb-proof...

...Keep going Ask me something i CANT answer

...GP are slightly longer than EP but a viable switch...The GP / EP springs are interchangable...Maxx shox and springs are too short and are no good...

I think it's that the tires are a little more realistically sized for the quad body?

I never really liked the GT-1 body until I saw it on a smaller truck (which is...uh...now...)

It really is just weasely rebranding though.. Comical almost. OK, they didn't sell enough ATV's, so here you go... And they had a production overrun of 5,000 GT1 bodies or whatever, and now the older Savs are discontinued.. Problem solved..

Well, they're not gonna discontinue the GT1 body any time soon. it's still a hot seller, just like the Ram and the KFX700. They already have the molds, and the capacity to do prepainted bodies, so, well, why not?

As you know, I'm on HPI's side on this, altho the GT2 body would look better:P

maybe i'll throw the unused stock savvy X lid on mine whenever i get it...I really want one.
