Just for the record...the truck i was thinking of was the Dirt Demon...not a Zilla of any sort, and more to the point, it had a dual deck truggy-ish chassis, LOL.

So nevermind I guess:P

maybe good for crawlers, but not so much for racing. You're right though, this would allow for a transfer-case-like setup, where you can lock one set of wheels, and only run the others, or run them in opposite directions, or whatever you need to do.

Ok, I am sick of reading the posts so I am just going to ask. What is the difference between the Savage and the E savage? What kinds of parts are interchangable?

I am a little late getting into this thread, but I heard a lot of crap about how electrics are for sissies. Now I prefer nitro for the sound, smell and ease of not having to recharge batteries, but with new technology, the best electric drive systems will beat the trash out of the best nitro systems. Maybe I am wrong on this for cars, but I am assuming that because it is true for planes it is true for cars. So calling it a sissy truck just because it is electric? I don't think so. Maybe the parts they have in it are sissy though.

...basically NOTHING...in DETAIL there is this and that but at first glance, out of the box, compatability is ZERO...

Ok well I just have to put my two cents in now. I have no problems with HPI coming out with an electric MT that is the spitting image of the e-zilla. Heck they own hot bodies. To call it a savage when savage parts don't fit it is retarded. They should have come up with a new name, because this is no more a savage than the hellfire is a savage. If everything was the same as a savage except what is necessary to mount electric motors and batteries, then fine call it a savage.

I'm interested in what's done to the GN and the Jeep

I no longer have anything even reasonably fast (aside from the bike, but it's...uh...well it's just like my Savage-in pieces strewn about my apartment), and I'm still waiting on Superlift to quit draggin their butts on the 4" KJ lift, so aside from my RC stuff, I've got nothin that can really do anything impressive off road either

But my Savage is still faster

Sorry it's been awhile since I've been here. The GN has all of the usual bolt-on mods typically done to GNs and most all of the stuff came from Kenne Bell and Art Carr. Chip, downpipe, injectors, exhaust, intercooler, converter, shift kit, deep trans pan and girdle style rear end cover and just recently I put on a set of fresh MT ET Drag Radials. It's pretty mild as the engine is pretty much as delivered from Buick in 87, but it gets the job done against 99% of the stuff I run up against on the street. I'm done tinkering with this one as the value on these cars keeps steadily rising, so I'm just going to keep it as stock as possible in case someone makes me an offer I can't refuse. I doubt I'll ever sell it though. As for the TJ, it was my daily driver until it got a RE 3in lift and 33in BFG MTs, 4.56s with a Detroit in the front and rear with a Warn manual hub conversion up front. It has a 4.0 with a Hypertech pcm flash, Rusty's K&N cold air intake, Rusty's Flowmaster cat back on it and a deep trans pan. This one is done too. I will likely sell it after the winter or spring and buy a new truck of some sort because wheeling areas are becoming fewer and fewer due to development, restrictions, etc. I'm thinking I might get one of those redesigned Chevy Silverado pickups.

edit-You know where to find me if you want to run that X. I had mine radar'd yesterday and with the truck setup exactly as stated in my signature, it ran a best of 37mph on pavement. It typically ran 35-36mph at WOT. Keep in mind I'm running a deeper 52T spur and small diameter tires...both of which hurt its top speed. I'm happy with killer wheelies and mid 30mph speeds out of what is essentially a stock truck. We used a Bushnell gun that PepBoys sells.

...sorry...back to topic...RE: The 'new' bodies...The GT truck body, (not the GT2 which i mistakenly listed earlier) HAS been re-pressed and is shorter and narrower than the GP version...The QUAD body comes from the SAME press as the GP because it needed to be the same scale to accomodate Rider Steve...The dimple in the rear left fender over the fuel tank appears to be gone for the EP version...So now we know

...Also we have carbon plates coming VERY soon...Spy shots later

Just for clarification, when I say wannabe Savage, I'm referring to the rebadged 1/10th scale Ezilla flop that Hot Bodies couldn't sell.
