Hi Guys,
I'm new to your forum and to heli's.
I,m a little worried about using the standard muffler on my Raptor inside the century longranger fuse, It seems to be a bit close to the body, Is it likely to burn my fuselage or the paint? has anyone been there before? I don't want to use the scale muffler
after what I read in another part of this forum.

I used some metalic type duct tape as a heat shield but I sold the heli before it had much time on it, I was also using a different body, those Century fuselages don't have alot of room in them.

Starwood Scale Models has some thin ceramic paper like insulation. I use in turbine applications, should work well for this application too. Will absorb oils so it will be a maintenance item down the road, but it will take 2200 degrees and is only 1/8" thick.

Hi Helijack
Thanks for the tip! I'll contact Starwood Models and see if I can get some. Sounds like it will be just the ticket.
cheers' Glen.

Hi Pete737,
Better photo's coming soon. No it's not a century paint job, It's many hours of pain staking work I'm glad you like it, and thanks for the compliment, It's my first one, the next one I hope will be even better!
Cheers, Glen
