Ok guys I need help. I bought a blade CP used. I have been playing with it for 3 days now I just figured out that it wont lift off. the blades are alittle damaged but not enough to prevent lift. I am not sure if the battery is bad? I am thinking about a lipo and some new blades but not sure if there is something else I should check.

Could be a number of things......Bad battery, worn out main motor, pitch not set correctley, damaged blades...any or all of these could be the problem...I would start with making sure your pitch is set correctley and maybe a new set of blades and go from there.

wrh117,

I agree with Hutch, new blades and check the pitch...

If the motor sounds okay and appears to come up to good head speed, then pitch is probably your problem.

If the motor sounds loud or straining, maybe the motor..

Check the gear mesh, turn the main rotor and see if it turns smoothly. If not, try putting a little light oil, graphite or teflon spray on the main gear.

I'm guessing by your post that you have the NI-MH battery, you should get at least a full 6 minutes or more with this battery, if not, you battery is going astray.

So many things to check,

wrh117,

Here's a link that you can download a CP manual, it's about 2.5 megabits.
