Quick Q. Is there a US distributor for the engine/plane? Way back i thought I read of someone wanting to handle them. A guy @ our field has the edge with a bum engine and for now he swapped it out. I thought a repair or replacement would be something he should persue without having to ship it around the world. Thanks in advance, Joe

BTW, he put an Evo on it and likes it.

Can I ask what SPE owners are using as far as fuel to oil ratio?

Also has anyone used mineral oil to break in an engine?

I use Vavoline 2 stroke oil 1:30 mix, but plan to do 1:40 after few more liters of fuel trough it, i have now only 3 litres trough it. For break in process (atleast first 5 liters) should be mixed 1:30
Btw: Here's How Peak Looked Alike when i got it: http://fotki.lv/DronN/378863/
And Here's How it looks now http://fotki.lv/DronN/451084/

FYI. Peak has relisted the Edge 540 on their website. It is now in two new version with different covering schemes.

Yeah the schemes are very cool, if i plan to crash my edge someday, than i would buy the blue one next day. i already know what to change in it to make it fly better than it really could. I have the 70 in yak from them too (new style) AUW 3,6 kg's but it's electric, and i found out that even if i love engines so much as i do now, i very like the electric setup on the yak too- just go to field, connect and go- no fuel, flipping adjusting- just enjoying the plane. It's 1,2 Kw on 5 cells and 20x10 Apc. You should look forward on buying their new series yak or extra with split tail- it's a good bonus when it comes to transporting the plane in a public bus as i do

Hi Guys

I am interested in the peak models 76 inch span Edge 540 for 40cc. Everyone seems to be buying the smaller model but would rather go with the larger. Has anyone flown the larger model yet?
If so, what was your set up and what did you think of the plane? I am pretty sure that the larger Edge is also marketed by Cearmark but in a different colour scheme. Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards

John

I just got mine a couple of days ago and was impressed with the quick delivery and quality of heavy duty packaging. Upon inspection, I noticed that there was no instruction
manual so I shot off an e-mail to Peak Models but haven't yet received a reply. Could someone who has one pass on a few pieces of info so that I can start things rolling. The
main things I need are the C.G. positions which I assume are measured at the fuse sides, engine mounting distance firewall to prop driver face, and control throws. I'm kind of
leaning toward a 40 cc gasser in this critter and would welcome any info from someone who's flown one with a 40. How was the weight and how was the flight performance and
were there any issues getting it to balance. Thanks a bunch.

Bob
