Status: offline 		I am running 3cc inboards in my boats and the manufacturer recommends 18%.

I am currently running 16% but see that many on the vegas thread are only using 12% oil content.

The Manufacturer who is a sponsor here assures me that the 16% will be fine and I have nothing to worry about.
I have ruined 2 Pistons and liners so far this month and perhaps a coincidence but it's after switching fuel brands

Should i increase my oil content to 18% and if so,

How much castor would I have to put in a quart of fuel that currently has 16%oil(Synthetic) content and 30% nitro to bring the total oil content to 18%.

Status: offline 		here is the math: 16% of 128ozs is 20.5 ozs of oil
18% of 128ozs is 23 ozs of oil

so add 2.5ozs of oil to reach 18%. This is of course not exactly correct because the math is based on 128ozs, and adding 2.5 ounces would increase the total volume to 130.5 ozs but it is close.

the easier way is to add a capful of Klotz to the fuel and call it a day!
