Id like to try and make a PBF that I can put an OS 46 on. That the only engine i have spare. Where can I find info on a PBF that can take this size of engine? Id like to know the size of the cloroplast i need.

That's a lot of engine for a PBF. A lot. But if the excess power proves troublesome, you can always limit the throttle throw to say 3/4 or so and you have a much weaker engine. I would think you could do this with any 25-40 PBF.

I've heard several reports of going to a 28" square box works real well with the stronger .46 and .47 sized engines...but the leading edge flexing becomes a problem. Fold over the first 5 flutes of the leading edge and glue to make it stronger...I've also heard of putting fiber glass or carbon fiber rods in the leading edge flutes to make it stronger. I've never flown one with an engine larger than a .25 so this is all stuff I've read about on the forums. There is also a VERY long and informative PBF thread over in the fun fly topic here at RCU
