I was looking into purchasing a used battery charger, because from my experience, I've never had one die on me. However, none of mine have been very advanced; so I was curious how long is the life on the high end battery chargers? I'm mainly talking about the LIPO chargers, but any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 5-6 year old Dymond Super Turbo that still works well. The buttons are sticky at times, but the unit still works great. Limited use now with doing Lipoly's.

I have seen where the technology has changed using better software, ect.. making the newer chargers more accurate.

Good question no solid answer, typ electronics last forever. Aka 10 years and beyond, old days the capacitors would dry out but now if they work pass the 3 month cycle they are good to go forever, BUT the mechanical part does not and will not go forever, as said the cheaper plastic switches wear out get corrosion etc…connector’s lose their plating get lose on the crimps, so their lye’s the rub, same as always the more expense they are typ. the longer they will last.

Like the others say, theres no set time limit as such, it's about as easy to predict how long your TV is going to last.
It's like any other piece of electrical equipment, it could work one day, but pack up the next.

I'm using a mains voltage to 12v regulated supply to power my charger, and I've had that for nearly 20 years, and it's still going.
But I suppose that could stop working anytime
