I can't believe how freakin' hard it is to work with this damned heli. If it's not one thing, it's another, when fixing this damn things. The parts don't want to fit, it takes an eternity to fix things, usually not as good as it was in the beginning. I was replacing the tail motor mount 5 minute ago and the tail shaft didn't want to go in, then it snapped in two! . I don't even know where I can get this part, because I don't recall seeing it anywhere. And I'll probably have to get it online, and I don't feel like paying for express shipping again, so I'll get my part in a week...

Any ideas why the tail spindle didn't want to go in? Should I have filed it down or something?

Do you mean the small CF rod that the gear slides onto?? If thats what you mean then your LHS should carry it. I know mine does. If this is indeed what you mean

I agree.

Crash it, fix it, love the way it flies- crash it, fix it. One vicious circle of madness.

I had to give the tail motor end of the boom a little sanding before I put it in. Sometimes they fit perfect- Sometimes not so much. I hated fixing things early on, because it seemed that one fix led to another problem and more frustration. You will get to the point where any fix is no big deal. To get your helicopter dialed in, look at the bdvision (?) posts on this forum or the bladecprepair website.

As far as parts go, going to a local hobby store is easy for me because a couple are close. Sometimes I order stuff from helidirect.com and have found they are fairly fast at shipping, as long as the stuff you are looking for is in stock. Redrocket hobbies is also fast and has all of the stuff for the CP. Horizon is great also.

Why is this heli so addicting?? If it's broke it has to be fixed right now. Not in days, a week, right now. I've gone through this same thought pattern. Now I am to the point of excessive modification. It flies absolutely perfect, but I want brushless this and that, aluminum head and swash, super strong landing gear. Hell, I can't even remember the last time I have broke the landing gear, but I want to spend money to beef it up. This thing is a money pit, but I don't seem to mind

Right well I have to say that was an insanely easy fix. It is the same diameter as basically all the other CF on that heli. I had two broken skids, so I just cut off a small section, and slid it through, then I realized that it didn't fit quite right, and was really stuck in there, but then I got a nail file and filed the end, and after 5 minutes of tweaking the end, it slide on no problem. I CAed the tail assembly on because I got tired of it moving... I also took the training gear off, is that gonna be a big change? The training gear doesn't fit the super landing gear. I am ecstatic. All I have left are the blades, then I am back in the air! But hopefully with no crashes.

You can always use tie wraps to hold on the training gear if you think you still need it but I think youre gonna like it without the gear. Better lift, better control, less drifting, just a better flying heli.
