Titan, since this is a HL thread only I would not be able to show you a pic of a Tamiya King Tiger goind through mud and snow. Ha ha

Seriously though. Again, I know that Tamiya users are not supposed to respond on this thread but how are the suspensions on the HL? Are they stiff, to loose, can you adjust them? How is the gear boxes? Do they grind when stuck? How heavy is the tank and what % grade can the tanks climb? Sorry for the questions, I am just curious because I may want to invest in one. I have a Tamiya, nice but expensive. Thank guys.

hl suspensions are too stiff, it depends if you wanna add more accessories.
suspensions can be adjusted simply by drilling another spring attaching hole near the original one or by adding weights.

the motors are strong, the climbing angle or degree ,depends on the traction, not the motors.

this tank is little more fragile then your tamiya, but it is fast and easy to fix(fun) when sad things happens and parts are cheap.
so
if you can use a screwdriver and a soldering iron for wires,go for it,
you will enjoy this 99$ tank.
take the s&s version with metal gears ,
no plastics gears>safety clutch does`nt last long in rough conditions .

I can see now why HL can run in water ...it's very easy to water proof I sealed my M41 with rubber seals and moved the switches from the bottom and sealed the holes the Sherman is not water proof it only has flood cells in to to control water intake.

HL wins the "Water Proof Award" as well as "New Tank Award"

I'd love to Pantherize it! I'm waiting for someone to make a kit, I don't have the talent or time to do it from scratch. As for the 9, for awhile every time I made a bid on e-bay these guys outbid me, so I made 3 lowball bids and won them all! Those guys must have felt pitty and let me win for once. That was fun explaining to the wife!

Two HL Tigers - or rather one Tiger and one being modded into an ARC (armoured Ramp Carrier), yes, it was British thing (Churchill ARK) but hey, it was an idea and just had the first test run and all OK but now electrics have died.... I used the traverse motor for powering winches in/out and elevation unit to select between winches. will try and get some photos when I can but for now I have to get the multimeter out and found out why it stopped.

Anyone have any circuit info on HLs?
