ok guys, im looking for a new radion, and i am tossed up. a lot of people at my track have the m11. i have tried them b4, and then where nice, however felt slightly top heavy to me. also i think that the futaba has a more functional screen that would be able to be used easier. i know that they are booth great radios, i was just wondering what ur insight was. also i have futaba digital servos in my buggy, and i was thinking about taking advantage on the HRS system that the 3pk comes with. currently i am using spectrum, and i was thinking about gettin a radio that i could continue using spectrum with so i would like to keep that option open.... however try the HRS. also what is PCM, and DSM thanks for the help, as i am in the dark when it comes to these fancy radios!!

I highly recommend the 3PK super. The Super has more features than the old 3PK and even has an easier menu access. I speak for 3PK from experience due to its reliability, features, and great customer service fromFutaba (or the contractors they hire to do repairs). The 3PK super is based on the proven 3PK and adds to it. If you want to go DSM, you can now get a DSM HRS module.

I will admit I don't know what is in M11, but I'm pretty sure its similar to M10. I personally have not used M10 or M11 so understand my opinion is heavily biased towards 3PK.

Not to be rude but its M8 not M10. (Unless theres a radio I dont know of)
You should also consider the Brown Box Special Nomadio Sensor. (Its only $269!!!)

SavageJim i's an M8
I own an M11 and it has Extremely high responce speed and it's very easy to access everything... noone runs a futaba at my track.. .everyone rins the M11... if it feels too top heavy for you you can shift the weight back so it'll be more balanced

It's like the first 2 pages on the manual tell you how to ajust all the feals and such...

basically M11 or 3PK

The 3PK comes with 3 settings: PPM (normal FM), PCM, and HRS. HRS (high response s..., I forgot what the "s" is) is the fastest mode.

DSM is what the 2.4GHz Spectrum module runs on. I believe there is a DSM module that will fit the M11.

pcm- is standard FM modulation, dsm- is digital spread spectrum (spektrum add -on) , HRS- is high response speed. if the 3pk feels better in your hand than the M11 then i would get it. also you may want to concider the 3pks with synthysized module and receiver. its nice to not have to buy crystals. good luck.

I really go against 2.4ghz if you are racing... bashing it's OK because theres a slight delay and everyone at my track and most top racers went bach to top end crystal radios (M11 3PK Helios) because they noticed a delay...

With range, I do notice a delay with DSM. But then again, my car is so far away that I cannot hardly see it. I believe Spektrum has an HRS version of DSM out now, I wonder if that will eliminate any delays?

the spektrum HRS is not quite as fast as standard futaba HRS.

thanks for the clarification gentlemen. i was slightly confused with this. i currently have a dx3, and i like it alot, however i want more adjustability, speed, and reliability. i would like to try the HRS mode that futaba offers because i have 2 digital futaba servos, so i think that it will b a nice setup. thanks for all the help, i will let you know more when i make my decision.

If you decide to go 3PK and you want to use the HRS capability, get the 3PK that comes with the R203HF receiver. This receiver is made specifically for HRS. If you get the 3PK with the R113iP receviner, that receiver is only a PCM capable receiver.
