gotcha
So then you wouldn't recommend the hot shot 2 because once the battery runs its life i'll just have to get a new one?

it does not come with a 3000mah, you would have to purchase that seperately. Usually by the time the battery goes bad the connections in the end go bad too from the heat and use. Hot shot is the way 2 go, 2 years and no problems, not to mention its red, white with some black so you dont have to worry about it matching your eyes, unless you were drinking heavily the night before!!!!!!!!!!

lol
Thanks for clearing that up ehroof. I guess the hotshot 2 is the way 2 go. They have the hot shot 2 super turbo something and that has a 5000mah pack in it. It's tempting but for 30 bucks it's a bit over kill. Hopefully the hobbyshop will take back the crap I bought.

wrong again. Look closely:

INCLUDES: One glow igniter with rechargeable sub-C battery
One wall charger

I bought it myself, it COMES with a 3000 mah battery. the hotshot one, comes with a 1500 mah battery.

after reading 1/2 the stuff you post on this site, i would say you and the words common sense should not be in the same thread. Controversial, annoying, or troublesome but not common sense. You seem to have something to say no matter who posts what. You never agree with anyone.

Your worse than me!!

Hi to everyone, please forgive me for butting in on this very interesting discussion about the best way to stop a nitro engine, but, stopping the engine at idle by slowing the rotation to a stop does seem to work very well, and I didnt burn the crap out of my thumb or flood it out...

Has anyone ever flown a real airplane, say a cessna 150? They way you stop the engine is to move the mixture to full lean. Do you think they would really take a chance of ruining a engine? The few rpms that the engine rises is nothing compared to full throttle. As long it doesn't raise the temp or rpm to extremes and take longer than a few seconds I say you should be ok. Bottom line...whatever method works for you and doesn't seem to cause damage is the best way. Engines, tires, shocks, and every other part of a car wear out. It's just my opinion, but I think running lean and poor after run maintenance is probably the primary cause of death of an engine.
