Status: offline 		I have read there is a difference between nicd & nimh chargers. Yet I have also read there is no difference. SOMEBODY please give me the low down on nimh as thats the way I want to go. Can I use my exsisting chargers?

Status: offline 		If your slow charging (C/10 or less), you can use an existing charger.

If your fast charging, you need a charger designed for NiMH.

When either type of battery is finished charging, they reach a peak voltage
and then start decreasing (but also start heating up). NiMH batteries have
a much more 'gentle' peak than NiCd and NiCd fast chargers do not see that
gentle peak and therefore just keep on charging which cooks the life out of the NiMH. A charger for NiMH's correctly detect that gentle peak.
