What's going on with the build? Is it officially dead?

Stickbuilder. Did you ever receive those formers?

Just wondering.

The build is not dead, it is merely on hold. I have not received the formers, nor have I received the Wing parts. I have another plane on the building board at present, and it should be at the point where I can get back to the Pitts very soon. It is my intention to build the fuse for the Pitts (I will cut the formers and the engine box myself) and get the plane ready to send to CubNut so he can do the covering, and forward it on to RCKen for final assembly. Since no decisions have been made concerning servos and placement, I will make the decisions myself, and move along. There has been a dire lack of interest from the original people who wanted to do this project (with some exceptions). While some of the original participants came through, others fell by the wayside very quickly. I think that it's a shame that this happened. The wings are another situation entirely. I'm sure that Gordon is busy, and hasn't had time to ship them. Again, I will have to add the spars, the leading edge and the trailing edge, and sheet them. I will put the servos where I think they should go. Please stay in touch.

Stickbuilder-Bill,

My hats off to you! You have been an important part of this build from the very beginning and one of the very few that are consistant in trying to make this build a success. Obviously this build needs more people like you but, you're willing to do everything in your power to get you part completed with or without help. Again, if there is anything I can do to help you please let me know.

Bill,

I've been following your Waco broderhood thred, so I know you have other builds on the front burner right now. In fact, didn't I just see your Waco in RC Report? I very much want to build one, but I have to wait for the 1/5 scale since I don't have space to build that one yet. One day though , in the mean time, I might have to settle for the 1/6 scale.

Glad to hear that a lot of you still are committed and that you'll pick up the slack. My previous offer to give a donation through PayPal still stands, but I never did see any such info on the website.

Guys,
I am waist deep into my next build, I am building a Ziroli P-40. I have the fuse framed up and 1/2 sheeted. I will not be abale to get to the Pitts Covering job for a long time(not that it looks like it will be anytime soon anyways). My hobby room is very small and I will be a while getting the P-40 to where I can move it out to do anything else.
Later!!
Anthony

Last i talked to Bill, Joe, he was going to finish things up on his own. He asked me to send the extra set of wings I had cut down to him, which I did.
