Butch, astronomically awesome doesn't even begin to describe this project!!! HOLY COW!!!! Just 2 quick questions for ya.... 1st..Might you have an idea of how soon you expect to complete and actually fly this titanic...2nd..How do you intend to transport this mammoth AND, when completed, will the fuse be one piece or multiple pieces to assemble at the field? Keep up the great work! Regards,

Richie

I don't know when it will be complete. As soon as it is done. It will be in components so that it won't be so large for transporting. The cross section at the wing pivot is 39" so it isn't to large that way but it is very long, so I will have to break it some where. I have to tell you that when I started cutting it I thought the scale would be fine, but I think that it is rather large now that I see it in person. But what the Hell you only live once! Nice! If they won't let you fly it in the USA Hustler, bring it to the UK. We'll let you fly it . It will be the star of the show.

You should have brought it to the Southwest, we could have put some poles on it and had a cool looking awning.

Monk, Sorry for the short response. But When I here AMA or JPO I see RED ! The JPO Rep. continuously brake the speed rules but thinks he should dictate to everyone else, and get into other people's buisness. And I hate DOUBLE STANDARDS. But then again it is only MY OPINION ! Butch

No problem Butch,

I see the double standard all the time too, as long as everyone stays quiet no foul called.

I just don't want to see such a great project go the way of that big Concorde that was built and never flown. We would all like to see you make a successful flight and show it all to the guys and gals who love to fly jets. We love this kind of work and effort.

We all we be watching your progress, so keep the pics coming, it will help us to get through the winter up here.

I know it's not a BVM project, but may the blessings of the "V" be on you and this great under taking, and may you wallet never run dry, bless you my son.

I've been interested in doing larger models too and have come to the conclusion they will have to be flown as RPV's under FAA rules. At least that keeps me inspired for now.
I also have major heartburn with special interest groups that claim they rep us turbine pilots with the AMA yet produce little result. When I move out of the no turbine fly zone I'll take on a project like yours. Today I'm going to maden my electric DR1 YAWNing already...

Hi Butch,

You are to be applauded for two reasons:

1. for your workmanship and ba##s for taking on a project like this, and more importantly....
2. you make me look tame to my wife!! I can justifiably say, " honey, you think I'm nuts, you have noooooooo idea. Most guys are building jets like this blue on in the pictures here!!! See, my collection is pretty tame......maybe I DO need another jet after all!!!"

Seriously thoug, good work mate, it looks awesome!

All the best with it!

Craig.

Craig, that's funny ! My wife can't say anything. Her family are the ones that started me in the hobby. I always built models when I was a kid but never flew RC. Tell your wife that everything is OK,You could have worse habits like a Girl Friend. HA HA !

I don't know man, you and that trailer look pretty small .You gonna put operational terrain following radar in that thing? It'll probably fit no problem. All jokes aside, I hope you see this project all the way to the end. Good luck.

Mega SIZE, just Speechless and Thumbs up!

Here another picture of similar model at a smaller size, an ideal to go well with two 12lbs.
