Got the 2nd half of my airplane today. All I can say is WOW!!!! This thing is impressive. Here's my comments copied from another thread.

I just got my Aerowoks 50cc Yak today. All I can say is I'm stunned! Wow!!!!! This thing is so complete I can't believe it. I think this is their 7th version. And it is awesome. Here's a list of what it came with that I've never seen on any other plane.
Manual on CD, plus you can download and print the manual on their website (which I did) Most complete manual I've ever seen
Pre built throttle and choke servo mounts that can be glued in at any location to accomodate your specific engine
Foam for the receiver and batteries, lots of it
Two engine mount templates (plywood) for DA and 3W
Zip ties (a whole hand full) for everything
Velcro ties (4)
Special high density foam, I'm assumeing for the ignition
Aircraft aluminum landing gear (made in the good ol USA and shipped to China for packaging) No crummy CF landing gear for this plane
AeroWorks, wood, incident and throw meter
Ultra Coat covering, extra pieces in all the colors for small repairs in the future (how nice is that?!!!!)
Silicone tubing for the pipe/canister mount and zip ties specific for that job
Clear Ultra Coat for sealing the hinge gaps
The elevators and ailerons are pre-hinged, perfectly. Absolutely perfect!
Engine stand offs are included in case you don't have some for your engine
Pushrods that are quality and cut to length, threaded and ready for ball links
Top quality ball links, no junk here
Hardware kit that is absolutely complete and very fine quality. Again no junk here
The holes are pre-located and pre-drilled for the control horns. Again perfectly placed on the hinge lines
Pipe/Canister mount kit, simple and effective
Wrinkle free covering, mine was perfect. Don't even need to use the heat gun
Full pipe tunnel if needed, also ready for canister if you desire
It was shipped with double boxes and wood between the boxes for an extra protection. Mine didn't have a dent or scratch on it. Thank you UPS

As you can tell I'm pleastantly surprised with the content and quality of this kit. It's obviously the best on the market. My guess is all others will be forced to step up to this level of completeness and quality.

Well, gotta stop talking and start building.

I've already got my aileron servos mounted, perfect fit by the way with zero cutting, fitting, etc. Just hook up the extentions and mount the servos. The excellent manual even told me the extension length. Impressive.

Anyways, get what ya want, me I'm converted to Aeroworks stuff.

thanks
Barry

I got the Fromeco regulators and Badger switches today, guys do yourself a favor, buy either Fromeco or Smart Fly, I have both now and all I can say is that this stuff is top shelf! I have the Smart Fly system in the 75cc Yak and the Fromeco stuff will go in the 50cc. My next plane will be an Aeroworks 100cc Yak/DA100 combo. I've looked at all the other brands out there, seen most of it at the Joe Nall and all I can say that the only thing that compares or would be any better would be a composite plane, such as the Comp-Arf but then again the level of completeness of the AW planes is head and shoulders above anything out there and I just can't see how it would fly any better. I will always be an AW customer as long as they are manufacturing a product this good. Thanks AW gang for making the hobby easy for me/

Folks,
Just got my 50cc YAK today and I completely agree with Barry! OUTSTANDING! I got the carbon wing and stab tubes also. I weighed the aluminum vs the carbon and I'll save 11oz! The carbon tailwheel will save another 1/2oz. More "cool" facter than anything else.
5 JR 8611A (320oz) servos all around and a 8417 on throttle. A Spektrum AR9000 RX with dual 5 cell 2000 Mah packs thru dual switch harnesses to keep the servos moving.
A DL50 with an MTW solid header and TD75K canister will handle the thrust chores.
I'll keep all posted on the progress. Should fly on Sunday at the latest.

Dave Rigotti
