OK, here is the story , I have a Yellow Aircraft CAP 232, it is the .60 size, it has a 62" wingspan. I set up the aircraft just as the manual said, with the low raite defelctions. I do mostly areobatics with the airplane, and not 3D.

Here is what happened, I was out flying this past week end and I noticed that every time I would give full up or down elevador the plane would snap roll to the right. Now I have less than 3/4 og a inch travel up or down. It also happens no matter how fast I was going with it. I checked the elev and both halves are traveling the same in either direction.

I was hoping with the vast amount of exeriance here that may be some one could help me shed some light on the problem, if it is even a problem, I was even thinking that it just may be a inherent tendensy with the CAP design, but I do not see any one else having this typ of problem that I know of.
I have been looking around at larger CAP to get in to giant scale with, but if this prblem is with al of them I may just have to go to with a Extra 300

ANyway, thanks in advanced for all your help.

The "CAP Snap" is a reality.
Generally cured by moving the c.g. forward, and being careful with the elevator.
Knowing it can do that can be a feature you can choose to use.
The one in my avatar was delightful to fly.... was.. Sob!

If it always happens to the right, try feeding in a little left rudder trim.

Ditto the above, and I love Caps for this reason. There's nothing wrong with your airplane, except possibly trim, and it will make you a better pilot. Enjoy. A 3/4 snap to knife-edge immediatly after takeoff followed right away by a 1 1/2 snap to the opposite side knife-edge is a thing of beauty. Caps excel at stuff like that!

Agreed that this is typical of Caps.
Keeping the overall weight down and laterally balancing can reduce the tendency a bit.
After awhile you just get used to it, I "know" when I get past a certain amount of elevator at a certain speed that the snap is coming, and I am just automatically ready to counter it if necessary.

Regards
Bob
