BAsed on others experiences, is the Spektrum DX6 (not 6i) and AR6000 receiver alright to use in this plane? Thank you.

The Mini Pulse was a great little plane for me. The Mini Pulse video brought me a lot of new opportunities and maybe even a bit of notoriety................or infamy.

The Pulse XT40 PNP was my first RC Groups review:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=632497&highlight=Ultra+Stick+25E

This particular plane was wrecked when I ran out of brains, but is repaired, and still flying, in a friend's hands. I replaced this plane with a new one, but she will be getting an electric conversion before too long.

But, now I suppose I can announce that we are planning a 25 flights report on the new E Flite Pulse 25E. Some of you may remember that I have relentlessly badgered E Flite to make the Pulse 25E, and now the plane isn't that far off. The Pulse XT46 is a big airplane, and the Mini Pulse is more of a park flioer than anything. I think the Pulse 25E is going to be just right, so I'm pretty excited about it.

okay... so I have been reading this thread for a while and have been a bit scared to take my new PNP MP out for a spin... it seems you all don't recommend the MP as your first RC airplane and I had already purchased one. So I was a bit nervous and the grass at the soccer field was a bit too long for wheels so I removed them and hand-launched with the help of a friend. I knew nothing about setting up a DX-7 (or any other radio for that matter) and picked up a bunch of info early on from Doc's notes early in the thread. So... thanks for all the help you have given the newbies... this is indeed a lot of fun. Oh...btw.. I velcroed a FlyCamOne2 camera to the belly to record my fate... so if you want to see the flight... here it is. I apologize in advance for all of the hard right turns... I was trying to keep the plane close to me in a bit of wind.

The Mini Pulse XT was my first powered airplane. Yes, I had flown gliders, but it was night and day. I found warming up with a smaller power train was great. By the time I re-powered with the 480 etc., I was ready for it. I think this is a GREAT trainer. The PNP ought to whet your appitite for the larger power train. You'll know when you're ready for it. And once you experience the unlimited vertical, you'll be hooked.

A big plus for me was (is) the MPXT is just such a great LOOKING airplane. Remembering a full throdle low pass (way TOO low).. triming the tall weeds with the prop... what great fun!

...about 5000 hours as an aerial survey pilot but never had time for RC... Picked up Realflight 3.5 last year and it certainly helped. About 3 flights after the first my E-Flite 9g servo (aileron) broke a wheel so I just replaced both aileron servos with Hitec Hs-55's. And now I wait for weather....

I just came off a disappointing end to my Super Sportster EP. They should call it "UP" (under powered).
It never really was the plane I was hoping for, but the Mini Pulse XT sure is!

I purchased the PNP kit that came with servos and the 450 park motor/22A ESC.
I ran it bone stock (used the 10x7 slow fly prop) and was amazed at how spirited it was.
The only change from the suggested set up, was that I used a 2200mah vs. the suggested 2100mah lipo and I left the wheel pants off.

I was thrilled by how quickly it got into the air and how well it climbed. With a 3-4mph head wind, it practicaly leaped into the air!
After a few minor control tweaks, it was tracking straight and flying at a comfortable speed with just half throttle.
I did 4 short flights and landed it in the grass 3 times and once on pavement with out the wheel pants on.
The battery seemed to have enough juice for a couple more, but I went ahead and put her up.
I tried a couple loops, rolls, and hammer heads just to get a feel for her and it handled very nicely.
It landed great too. It glided in and tracked so well, I just can't get over it!
The only problem I had was that it didn't roll very straight, but that will improve with practice and a couple minor adjustments.

When I bought it yesterday, I almost bought the ARF version and a Park 480 motor.
I'm glad I didn't. The 450 is plenty for me right now but I'll look at getting a 480 & bigger ESC down the road for sure.

Would any of you suggest running an APC "E" prop vs. the SF-slow fly?
What differences could I expect by running an E prop?

Mini Pulse XT ROCKS!!!!

Pheonix,

I had the APC 11X7 prop after I finally crashed and broke the eflite prop. I didn't notice any difference, but I liked it just as much as the stock prop. I do like that the APC prop came with different adapters as I recently ordered the eflite optional prop for the MP off of Horizon's web site. I did not have adapters and had to be reamed out. If you search this forum, you will find talk about what props work best. I am like you, I like the stock performance of the MP PNP and I don't need it to do much more, other than not crash. It is a great plane.

Good Luck!

What is the E-Flite optional prop? I'll have to check it out.
I read somewhere that we should use a 10x8E prop if we're not going to use a 10x7 slo-fly.
The think the "E" prop should be better because they don't flex like a slo-fly does.

Yeah, the stock 450 motor is plenty fast for me right now!
Awsome little plane.
Can't wait to see how the new Pusle XT 25e is going to shake out.

The optional prop is the eflite 10X8. Just check out the optional accessories on horizons web site. I haven't gotten a chance to fly it with this prop yet. I think most of the people on this forum recommend the APC. I also liked the lack of flex it had compared to the eflite slow fly prop, but I never had any issues with the stock prop either. When I needed a new prop my LHS had the APC not the eflite, so that is what I got. When I needed some stuff from Horizon, I also ordered the optional prop just to see.

Hi all. I love my Mini Pulse xp, but we land on semi-packed small to medium shale. The tail wheel is so small that it is snagging, and I think it will soon rip out of the rudder. Anyone have advice? Thanks. Mike

Love the MUS but my MPXT HATES me.

after several rebuilds and frustrating experiences attempting to find the pinhead size CG spot that keeps it from being uncontrollable, my MPXT (sensing it was no longer loved) drove itself into the only tree on my flying field

the only thing left of it was the fuse behind the cockpit all the way to the tailfeathers and the wing. Both sections remained relatively undamaged.

I have kept those "chunks" laying around for just such an evening as tonight. In the tradition of Frankenstein, I have decided to bring this monster bac
