Why do alot of these discussions turn into MUS or US25e threads.???This shows how popular and great these planes are.

No kidding.....almost every thread I have ever posted in, something to do with a MUS of somekind pops up.....I guess the Mini should be my next plane

Now that we are kinda talking about this bolt snapping issue, I am concerned about the bolts snapping, the landing gear going flying, and the servos on the main wing slamming into the ground on my Mini Pulse XT. Either ripping them outta the plane, or damaging the servos. The wing will basically be the first things to hit because it is so low on this plane. I am wondering if a little servo saver cabinet, so to speak, is in order. Or if it happens it happens, there is nothing you can do.

It's all E flite and one plane is a logical progression to the other. If the Pulse isn't wild enough, the Ultra stick can be with the right motor. If the Ultra Stick isn't attractive enough, ro one want something a little tamer, the Pulse is perfect.

Right now I've got a brand new Pulse XT slimer sitting on the bench charging up for tomorrow, but I probably won't be able to get away from the family long enough to fly it. I've flown a friend's Pulse XT slimer and it was so cool I had to get my own.

The Pulse hasn't been around long enough to devlope the same following thatthe Ulrta Stick has, but it's such a pretty, graceful, smooth flying plane that I don't think it will take very long before they start flooding the flying fields.

This is why I am going with 6-32 nylon screws rather than the
4-40 nylon screws that seem to pop the heads off and belly land
usually breaking the prop,if these screws did not break, the plane
would have a ROG landing with zero damage.remember I am landing
on rough grass that I keep mowed about one inch.If you are landing on
asphalt 4-40 will be fine.If my theory is correct,if I do land hard the 6-32
screws will snap off before the bottom of the plane tears out.I did switch back
to steel 4-40 screws and made several successful landings before I had a failure.
With the 4-40 nylon SHCS I went through to many props.

For the most part, I will be landing on about the same grass conditions that you are talking about. I guess I will just see what happens, the grass should hopefully be soft enough to cushion the servos a little and hopefully not damage them.

Really, by going to 6/32 you are not quite doubling the dia. of the screw. I would think the same, that on a hard enough landing they too would snap before the fuse does.

I never damaged a servo or a wing when landing gear mount failed or bolts snapped, even on the MP.
To repair you will need some CA,epoxy and deep blue Ultra Cote @ 12.99/Roll and a iron.It usually
goes right back togeather, most of the time it looks like glue joint fails, not wood.

BTW,the LHS just called and the Mini Funtana X is in and I will pick up on my way home tonight.
Cannot wait to fly it.

I am trying to completely avoid any damage to the fuse where the landing gear mounts, cause I built a little shelf there for the ESC, that goes right over the top of the landing gear mount, and in order to access the area, somehow that shelf is going to have to come out. Come to think of it, if the nylon bolts snap off I am probably screwed too. This little shelf may have been a dumb idea

That should be a sweet little plane. I am torn between that and the Mini Edge for a 3D plane. The Funtana X being $20 more has steered me towards the Mini Edge.

Try a MUS,I got two on E-bay that where brand new that had minor
shipping damage for $80 for both shipped.Everything from the MP
will set up the MUS for you,If you by a reciever and four servos
you can swap the 480 and ESC from the MP and have a new plane
for less. The MUS is not real nice looking but it really makes
up for it in performance, you can really get crazy with it or
fly it like a trainer.

Ok,I was expirementing with more props and tried an APC 10X7
slow fly.I noticed that with this prop the MP would do perfect axle
rolls like the MUS but a little slower. With the E prop it would do scale rolls.
I also like the way it loops and flies inverted and pulls itself right through
any manuver.I was able to get 12+ minutes of flight time and flew almost
@ WOT the entire time.Someone else try this prop and tell me what you think.
